On the bigger bridges until about 96 ish. Once the necks went to 6 bolt - they were on the neck plate. I can’t remember on the 5’s - haven’t owned one for a few years…

Unless… issue with the neck, spare neck found to replace but had another finish on it (white/blue, whatever) and the finish was sanded off. It is, as someone has already said, possibly a SUB neck (black paint)…but it is a MM neck. The serial Number will be on the neck plate on this - so missing decal isn’t like a sanded off serial number (there may be a sticker on the heel area with a different SN) - the body finish is trans purple (think it was called that anyhow) Could all be legit. But take a big mate. Depends on the price etc.

done, well…I did this on about the 9th and really liked it; tried a few other things but came back to this. I think my reservation was that there are 4 or so different parts. I suppose it’s quite like a canal boat trip, various locks, different places and people - some parts are rocky, some calm…etc. Gretsch Baritone Jet, Yamaha acoustic, Danelectro Bass…GarageBand does the rest.

I meant to post something about Monday… met an old drummer (Max from Flying Oceans) and a mate of his who plays guitar and sings called Mike. Played through about 5 ideas - 2 of which I really liked and we sort of turned into “songs” as such. Really enjoyed playing with Max again and Mike has a great voice and ear for a tune. A little off piste - sort of Incubus meets Silverchair…so it was like going back to my youth. Took the Sparkle Danelectro basses - one had flats and went back in the case after one Jam… But the one with rounds - a surprisingly good rock/metal bass 🤣

@Andyjr1515 did a yamaha neck for me and it was ace. not sure of his current workload, or current cost. But he was amazing.

It’s funny… The way music is consumed is totally different; my two 15/16 year olds both got phones as they started high school (tracker apps and knowing what they’re up to etc)… I noticed that they would have music videos streaming while they played/did homework/draw etc. Its like MTV - But that used to encourage people to buy physical format music… “Physical format” music is now your phone/tablet. We did a song in a studio - released it, and so far it has a few thousand streams across all formats; generating £13 (as part of an EP). We did a video for the song - so far it has 8000 views on Facebook and a few hundred on YouTube…this apparently plays ads before and after and has put £30 in our band account. mental. I said this to.. The 602 - “that’s bollocks” Flying Oceans - “you just want to show off in a video” Fiasco Jam - listened. We’re releasing an Album. we’ll pick 4 “singles” and make videos for each - probably following theme/story I haven’t figured out yet. might earn a few quid - better than nowt.

I seem to recall another car park across the way from the venue, down a little road - I parked there on day 2 as I was heading home straight after. Not sure if that was exhibitors only though…

I had this one for a few months… I bought my old custom shop jazz back - so it had to go to fund it…

I do both, with varying degrees of success and not in the particular order you may think… nobody is intimidated by my musicality in either camp…

Played at the Roadhouse in Manchester one evening; we were young and nobody drove. Oasis were tailing off at this point - but still had a big Manc following. The city centre was gridlocked. Drummer and Guitarist got a taxi to Black Friars and sat in traffic. Taxi Driver decided he’d had enough and chucked them out SWR 410 cab & Matching head Marshall 112 combo marshall 212 combo 3 guitars bass pedal bags… so I went to meet them (i worked on Portland street at the time) so. We piled what we could on the 410 cab (luckily on casters) and carried the rest up Market Street… to “ORRRRR YES M8, ITS OASIS” ”PLAY US A SONG MAAAAYYYTE” Etc. was pretty annoying. gig was dead. met the mother of my first born that night. the only thing I don’t regret about that evening is the first born child (who came about 5 years later). evidence of said gig…
