  1. Yeah. I think just a clear pickguard would make it look 20 times better. Anyhow, will leave that to whomever buys it
  2. Totally living the dream… I bought one of these 12 years ago and made a stunning bass - but, a recent bout of spinal pain means I need to wise up. I was stunned at the quality of the body on the original one I built and spent about £500 on making a “custom” from it. it hasn’t landed yet. ive already costed making it exactly what i want…and its £450 on top which im not going to do. but another bass is on the way and it needs to not stay long. Get ready for the weight…14lbs ish. £130 collected £150 posted in UK
  3. I took the orange to rehearsal last week and it absolutely worked. Just being a ripper fanboy
  4. I’m currently off BB’s 🫣 Orange is still here
  5. Sorry yeah it did - will adjust accordingly
  6. meh not so much
  7. Mrs T doesn’t even pity me every night…
  8. Mrs T has just declared this as “sad, cute (in a way) but sad…” hahahah
  9. Finally used the bass for it’s intended purpose today…
  10. In answer to the OP Every time I pick up a bass. Im recording this weekend, originals, my basslines. Just sat and played along to make sure I’m prepped… I must be in a different “place” when I play with the band.
  11. If I wasn’t skint - I’d be having it back
  12. Saw a honey coloured one being played at a blues gig years ago - and was smitten. They don’t crop up often. They look amazing
  13. Good lord. Can an amp be Good looking?!
  14. And as if by magic… https://www.facebook.com/share/r/Mc1PdaKyuT7hNxtM/?mibextid=WC7FNe
  15. I too don’t really “get” SH. Saw him live once. Still didn’t get it. There’s just something “ham fisted” - pardon the pun, like he’s just wellying it. Same with some stuff I’ve seen Louis Johnson doing…Arhythmic thumping…how hard can I hit this bass. Anyhow, each unto their own I guess.
  16. The Powell/Bones Brigade stuff is synonymous with Billy Sheehan’s wife bass. I shudder to think how much I paid for vintage PP stickers when I made my own “wife” bass.
  17. In fact - here are the pictures @bubinga5
  18. hiya @bubinga5 I think this was mine originally, went to @bassfan - regret selling it, it’s a good one! The pickups are original - the covers are solid covers which I changed as my playing style, with the exposed polepieces and low action meant I got blisters quickly. These covers allowed me to keep the action low and to dig in without this issue. Fully reversible and non invasive.
  19. I’m realistic, I know what’s in her bank account…she could easily do it… But the reason her account is healthy and mine is always at DNR stage is because she doesn’t buy basses 😂
  20. I know I started the other thread - sent Mrs T the link with the word “fortieth?” her reply… “That’s a gross amount” don’t think she’s taking the hint…
  21. https://on.soundcloud.com/ALQc1meiHgVUjfWKA having just booked our summer holiday… I just tried to get my head in that “first cocktail in the sun” came out like a pseudo Foos track. pretty happy with that Ripper, Yamaha acoustic and my trusty £40 Pacifica…everything else is GarageBand.
  22. Love these basses 😍
