    Bought this to see if I could remedy something within my amp. Its not a simple “new valve” issue. So this is Surplus. arrived from Watford Valves on Thursday. They won’t have it back as I’ve tried it in the amp. £25 posted in UK.

    Lovely thing, but the effects laiden guitarist and keys player mean I’m literally using just the octave. I have a TC Nether. So I don’t really need this. PSU included, Metal Box included. I could do with a boss GEB-7 to tame my Acoustic Bass. Or something with eq sliders (MXR?). Other than that…no need for anything Could always be tempted by Hartke 210 or Hydrive 112. Probably £5 to post in UK, free to collect in Manchester M27

    Enfield (Sims) have ceased building basses…also stopped refinishing works. They just do pickups and LED installation now.

    I’m working on band stuff at the moment, really want to get something in for this… is it not del preston then? if it’s withnail and I I have no reference as I only watched it once - well, it was on when I was absolutely off my knackers about 20 years ago.

    Every time the queen came to Cheshire, he would tell her who’s hand she was shaking etc… Honestly though, he made a huge impression on my life - I joined his company as a 19 year old boy and left him as a 30 year old married father of two with a mortgage and a wealth of knowledge and experience. i owe him a beer. Or a Sherry or something.

    @jimmyb625 I recall towards the end, the Manchester shop cost £1200 or so a day to run, it was a very, very expensive building to be in… I did 11 years there. We were never “cool” like PMT were perceived to be, or Johnny Roadhouse…it was a weird company. I never fully understood much of the decision making process - I never felt any iteration of the senior management had a full grasp on what to do next. Some of us had a clue - I ran the social media for a bit, at the birth of facebook/twitter/instagram as a sales platform…they took it off me and killed it in months… Such is life. Met loads of good folk who I still speak to… The old Manchester team met at the shop last year when it reopened as a bijou pizza restaurant 😆
