  1. Took this in a trade against my Waters PBass. My Second Geddy - the first was a Black MIJ, this is a Sunburst MIM. now then, never one to leave things be. I have a spare Jazz Pickguard and must say I’m in a quandary...I wanted to put a montreaux celluloid shell jobbie on it (they’re about £70) but it looks great with the Parchment one (even though it has a truss rod route on it). help me out...
  2. They’re worryingly gorgeous... and I suspect worryingly expensive...
  3. https://www.facebook.com/giginked/ our very own @TimAl sorted me a new look
  4. It’s a shame I’m not nearer - that’s a lot of bass for not much money! Sad if someone’s had to give it away to a cash converters type dump.
  5. I hadn’t yet. Get the feeling it would be a disappointing £1000 to find out. ive been offered a deal on a Geddy Lee in Sunburst, leaving me with some parts to shift on. i’ll see What happens with the trade.
  6. Might need to be super quick as someone else is tempting me with a trade.
  7. Yeah, I’m pretty certain i’ll start something soon - i’ll continue my recording project, lots of half finished jobs. will do some open mics with a mate and keep the fingers working. i don’t want to be the let down, so I’ll be happy to dip in and out of projects as I go.
  8. Yeah, my eldest (Ella) used to act odd if I was away gigging for prolonged periods. When I separated from her Mum I got access at weekends so quit music altogether. Once I was more sorted, I got back playing. (she escaped pretty much unscathed - and is excelling at school these days)
  9. Because of her various conditions she’s entitled to a disabled persons parking permit as we attend so many appointments and because of her Shunt, she requires quick access to treatment in cases of emergency. If she’s in the car or we’re running errands for her, we can use a disabled parking space. this is just a holder, but didn’t want the standard dull blue one...
  10. So Iris is still doing well, had an offer to join a jazz band this week but turned it down as they gig every weekend and I just don’t feel like committing to that level of gigging. She got her blue badge the other day and picked her a funky ladybird cover - got to keep it stylish. 1st full review on Thursday afternoon!
  11. I have a bass which only wears stickers on the rear - when the kids get something and want to put a sticker on it, they bob it on the back. i used to do it as a thing years ago when I was being a ‘cool kid’ then one day covered a telecaster in shielding tape...looked crap. Took a month to get it off.
  12. He really is. Done so many jobs for me. Another one on the way this week!
  13. Just a thought if anyone wants one and is on a budget...this popped up on eBay.
  14. The wife thinks 5 is ok...I’m having the snip...
  15. Looks great with the Black Pickguard - and congratulations on the little one. we’re on 4 now from 16 weeks up to 9years old.
  16. I need to pay more attention, don’t look out for gigs as much as I used to.
  17. Ah. Think the best way with Pickguards is to get a plank of wood and screw then to it, stops them warping/going missing etc. not that I’ve ever done that...
