1. I dont have a second amp but i remember plaing a gig with my old Marshall VBA400 with my old Trace 8x10, a trace 4x10 and a trace 1x18 all rigged up together. MY LORD!!! It crushed all the people in the first 5 rows!
2. love it mate!! best looking warwick i seen! i love beaten up abused bases keep it like that! proper relic'ing lol
3. Lovin the skull sofa throw! fancy a trade? lol
4. i think the OP and a few others have different idea's of what "backline" entitles. My band have done more shows than i can count where backline has been shared between bands. Most of these done with contracts drawn up etc etc as a lot have been abroad, and everytime and everywhere we have been, backline has always been "cabs n drum shells". I think i would be having rather strong words with anyone who decided to just go and plug into my amp. that kind of thing really gets me wound up and its just damn rude. So to the OP - Haul your own gear, just in case. If you had come up to me saying "can i use yours? i didnt want to lug my stuff up the stairs" i would be marching you back down to get it! and if it doubt, just ask someone from the band who's equipment it belongs to, do NOT just assume its cool.
5. Damn you Pete!! thought i would get to see you in action then oh and i managed to get a trade on the Eden cab, got a Yankee Ampeg SVT410HLF for it winner!
6. ah man i was after one of these a few months ago. If i still had 2 basses i would have snapped this up. Awsome bit of kit. Get it bought...
7. sorry but...... it would be good if girls came with a 'horn control' that would rule. Back on topic, lovely looking cab, hope it sells for ya.
8.
They run for a surprisingly long time on a 0.5 ohm load, before they trip. Ig you disconnect the trip and bridge it, it runs for a surprisingly long time before the power transformer melts. They are built tough.
Sounds like you had fun with it! hehe
9. the Sessionbass amp was my first proper amp, and i loved it. Eq on it was really easy to dial in i remember. i remember i thought i had made it as a proper bassist when i bought my first rig, it was that and a 1 x 15" black widow cab. I was the muts nuts! haha. Good times.
10. dont really have much experience with Warwick cabs, are they any good compared to something like an Eden or Yank Ampeg etc etc
11.
http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=64138
you want my Eden cab nice n light, proper clear warm sounding amazing bit of kit! you know it makes sense!!!

8x10s

also depends on how much of a kicking the ampeg has had compared to the Marshall. If your ampeg is getting a little tired this wont help matters. I hate playing through something that sounds better than what i got. more debt looms when that happens! lol.
13. hey bud, never heard the term bananna's before, lol. But the input and link connections are jack inputs. Not too sure on how old it is to be honest, my dad bought it about 5 years ago from a dealer when these were selling at £800 and he has never used it. I have recorded with it once and done a few rehearsals and 3 shows with it. Absolutely no creases or anything wrong with the drivers, im damn sure they are the originals. The thing sounds amazing as you probably know, and when im playing it by myself, its the nicest tone i have ever had, it just gets a little lost when my 2 guitarists crank up their Engl Powerball guitar heads n stuff! I need my 10" speakers back!! Sorry, i have had my day with big ass speaker cabs, i would love to have another but they break my back and i can get what i need from one half the size.
14. Hotrox how about them mate, i buy all my tubes from there
15.
is it a 4 ohm or 8 ohm cab please?
Sorry should have put that, its a 4 ohm cab.
16. lol, keep wishing kidda... i am never giving that baby up. Sorry
17. After a few months of playing around with my Eden 2 x 12 i think i have decided that its not the right sound i need and i need to go back to 10" speakers for that more punchy aggressive tone. So, im thinking either an (american) Ampeg, SWR, i like the top model GK stuff, Eden, orange Trace or anything else of same quality. If anyone would be interested in a straight trade then thats what im good for as i have little to no money... Or - Cash sale for £375 ono Giz a shout if so..
18. You want dodgy faces n Gurns????? Well i got me some classics! and these are just from 1 show!!! lol
19. nice to see you made your bed before taking the pic! good luck with the sale mate beast of a rig!
20. Brings back memories! I used to have one of these around 8 years ago. Probably the bass that prompted me to buy a Musicman. Really miss that bass, was well made and sounded great. Good luck with the sale mate.
21. id cancel the order and re order a 4ohm cab, much more options that way. DUH!!! stupid me, i should research my opinions or thoughts before posting, just checked the "whats the difference between 4 and 8ohm cabs thread" but i do like things loud so lower impedance has always worked better for me. lol
22. Also check out the Marshall VBA400. Bit of the underdog compared to the Orange and Matamp but still a killer amp and is mosterously loud!! I used to have one and it was as dirty as you wanted + more and still had good clarity. Only reason i sold up is the £200+ bill to re valve the damn thing (8 x 6550 tubes) OUCH! PS if you can find a Trace Elliot V4,6 or 8. none of the above will come into it! hehe.
23. when i was Jazz shopping, i found that some of the new Trace combos really sang that Jazz tone rather nicely. I tried a USA and a Mex through one of the 15" combos and i really liked that sound. just my 2p worth
