1.
I know lots of bassists play lesser instruments on the side
You heard I've bought a guitar haven't you? I'm sorry, it was such a pretty colour that's all...and I'm weak and fickle. Should I return in? Oh the shame
2. Kettle leads should only ever be attached to kettles, end of. Now someone make the tea.
3. I only play originals now and have no time for covers.
4. I regularly look(ed) at the old for sale forums. In a way they reflected the feel of the site. You were selling stuff, amongst like minded individuals, discussing it, having a laugh occasionally. I can't be bothered with the classifieds, it just doesn't work for me, I find it a bit clunky. As for the fee idea. I rarely buy or sell on here, so it would depend where the fee was pitched as to whether I would advertise stuff I'd want to sell. It would certainly put me off putting things like, maybe, strings or pickups in the classifieds section.
5. I digress....
6. Simple reply. Nothing.
7. I always try to use the lead that was provided with the amp or combo and only that lead, and use the same rated fuse as supplied by the manufacturer. Not very technical I know but there you go.
8. Must be a slow day in the office
9. Buy the one you like the look of, that's it.
10. I've just bought a guitar and am looking forward to learning how to play. I've always wanted to play. I don't want to be a 'bass player' or a 'guitarist'. I'd like to be in a postion to just enjoy playing music on either.
11.
Not this time Nige - I'm playing in Barnes that night. Have a good one.
I suppose it was only a matter of time, with venues shutting down, that we'd resort to playing in agricultural buildings. Nige, get thee self down here to Wurzel country. All these big smoke gigs are no good at all. I'll introduce you to Dave Vader, he's famous (not really...although he might be <---wasn't sure which one to use). Have a good'n.
I merely ask 'is this still for sale'...
Oh. But why? You don't like Jazz basses

14. Neither choice or relegation. Only instrument left if I wanted to be in a band with my mates. EDIT: just to point out, I don't know how to play guitar
15. Senility must be creepy in as well. The guitarist in the band was only talking about LickLibrary the other day. Thanks Dood
Concise and to the point..
Lacking in detail though I thought.
18. As my mid life crisis gathers apace I thought I'd learn to play the guitar - I thought it'd be crap at something other than just the bass. At present I know the chords G and D, which considering I don't even own a guitar, I thought was not bad Can anyone recommend some good online resources to get me started please? Or a book, I'm not fussy.
19. If one has the misfortune to live in the sticks, choice is highly limited. As an inmate of North Devon...Mansons is quite nice, staff very pleasant and helpful when I've been in there. I'd always go back. Very decent selection of bass equipment. Project Music, also in Exeter, I've found them to be decent sorts. That's about it for me. Online, I've used GAK and Gear4Music occasionally, never had a problem.

Would look better with a black pickguard. Just my opinion of course
21. I firmly believe that should try any bass before buying it. One man's dog is another's goldfish...well, something like that.
22. I wouldn't touch it with someone else's. I'd want to see it in the 'flesh' as it were before making a decision given the asking price. It just doesn't look right for a 34year old instrument. My 20yr old Squier has more 'ageing on it than that Fender. (ok, that might be down to how it was kept and stored but...)
23. I don't have to put up with one bunch of flaky egits anymore. The band folded last night, obviously in true flaky style though I got a text message near midnight to tell me what others had decided. What a waste of time that was, nearly 18 months of getting absolutely nowhere. In hindsight I would have been better off...going fishing or something. I really do wonder sometimes if bands and music are really worth the pain in the arse it always turns out to be.
24.
Why? It's just an 8-bit representation of Jimmy Savile's skull. What could possibly be creepy about that?
Oh, right. Obviously nothing...um...sort of. EDIT: it's 10
25.
Ee-urgh! Ee-urgh! Ee-urgh! Guys 'n' gals, guys 'n' gals! *rattles jewellery, lights cigar, visits local scout troop*
Is that how you spell Ee-urgh! Ee-urgh! Ee-urgh! ? I never knew By the way, that avatar's beginning to give me the creeps
