    Being a fan, I waited for Roger Daltrey and wished I hadn't. He murdered the Blues and it was cringeworthy. I liked Secret Sister, thought they were good and Ce-Lo Green - he can belt a song out. Plan B were good but not my cup of tea. Best bit of the show for me was the Dingwall....and the end.

    DOH - just read the system requirements and it needs 2GB RAM - I've only got 768MB. Damn, that's probably why it sounds like a passing Vauvhall Nova full of teenage scrotes and a bad sound system.

    I've just downloaded the trial version of GP6 and all the music / jingles sounds like morse code - is this normal. I'l like to upgrade to the new version but I'm a bit wary of spending £45 if it won't work on my PC. Is this a soundcard issue?

    Slightly OT but how do you lot play along to GP? Do you play the though an amp / combo or do you plug into the computer and if so what do I need to be able to plug into the PC?

    Sold my TC compressor to Al and it all went swimmingly. Anyone called Al is kin to me - highly recommended

    The head's a Markbass LM Tube 500 and the cab is an Epifani UL410 Series II.

    Just a quickie - if I use a 500 watt head into a 1,000 watt 8 ohm cab (therefore receiving approx 300 watts max) will this cause any problems with the cab?

    I only have one bass - my Shuker. Had it for 18 months now which is a record for me. It does everything I want it to do and sounds amazing. I might treat myself in the NY if I can decide what I want...maybe another P or perhaps a nice J. Could be a Dingwall...

    DR Sunbeams are my first choice strings but if I have to buy local, it's Ernie Ball Slinkys.. Not as good as the Sunbeams but IME, if you like the DRs you'll like the EBs.

    I have the very same head - superb piece of kit and a worthy upgrade from the LMIII. giblett's a great bloke to deal with too.

    I'm down to one bass - my Shuker. I'd like a second bass but everything I've played since - apart from a nice ACG I played yesterday, feels like pants.

    Spoke to Mark today via email - I fancy a 4 ohm neo 410 and seriously considering Berg AE410 or Genz Uber 410 at the mo but I wanna try before I buy so I was checking what stock he had. I'm a bit scared to go there TBH cos I believe he has some amazing basses in there.

    Played Peter's (GreeneKings) 5 string Graft Gallas yesterday - absolutely loved it. Hope to buy one sometime in the New Year. Loving Alan's work.
