1.
Just got back from the Bass show , in agreement with all the comments on every single trade booth filled with '' slappers ". I took a wad of cash and credit cards, but I'll probably stick to Basschat for my purchases. Glad I went, not sure if I would rush back .
Me too Martin - I was ready to spend a grand but backed off when I couldn't hear what I was buying.
2. Lovely to see so many friends and friendly faces - loved TM Stevens, he alone was worth the price of admission

4. Tried a Jazz 5 and really liked it but couldn't buy one at the show. There was a guy on the OW stand who just came over while I was playing it through the TC combo - he muttered something and then turned the amp off..so I thought oh well keep your bass then. £600 sale lost.
5. Mmmm guess not
6. Looking forward to seeing you there tomorrow Sheldon. There's a lot of love for Dave on here and come to think of it, the Bass Gallery too.
7. Just a philanthropical heads up...I have one seat left in my car (Saturday). I'm picking up in Liverpool at 6am then in Birmingham about 90 mins later and then doing M40/M25/M4 if anyone needs a lift. I don't mind a minor - and I mean minor detour off the motorway. Juice is free but we all chip in towards the parking.
8. Getting quite moist at the thought of these cabs after reading 16 pages on TB in the sleepless night I've just had. Anybody got one / care to comment?
9. I have a feeling these basses will be a massive success and Overwater deserve that for their efforts. It's nice to hear how OW are getting on with preparing every bass for sale and not just spreading a load of hype. Hats off to you fellas - I'll have my credit card with me tomorrow
10. Thanks Ste but you'll need your hands free to carry my new bass back to the car
11. Thanks Mike.
12. I've just bought a s/h BB615 for a back up and house noodling bass and I love it to bits. I've not used it with the band yet but it sounds lovely through my Tascam BT. Staggeringly good value - I'm seriously considering blowing some mahoney on a better preamp for it, maybe a new bridge and then it'll be a stonker.
13. I was planning on parking at Hammersmith - is it really walkable from there?
14. Lovely bass, lovely bloke - have a bump eude
15. I don't normally like Warwicks but that's a beauty. Pity you weren't a bit closer.
16. I went there a couple of weeks ago, wouldn't go anywhere else now.
17. Loving the band name
18. Yep I agree with Chris about being sure about 5ers before blowing a wad - you often see in the for sale forum posts that say "...I'm not comfortable on 5 strings so it has to go" type threads.
19. I'll be there on Saturday with Mythste and Machines - how moderated is that? I look a bit like this guy
20. Sorry, us Shuker types kinda get defensive at times - daft innit
21. If it was me, I'd buy a Dingwall but if they're too off piste, you can't go wrong with a Ray / Bongo 5. Lakland make some nice basses too as do Spector around that sort of money and most, if not all of them have a 35" scale which I prefer on a 5er.
22.
Why would you think that a guy who can design, make and sell hundreds of £1000 plus basses won't be able to do a good set up on your bass?
Big +1 I would trust Jon more than anyone else. His work is top drawer.
23. Excellent stuff, thanks Michael
24. Pics of the actual unit would be good
