1. Can anyone recommend a decent drum machine that a simpleton can work? Preferably with a good array of presets. Ta muchly.
2. I want to buy a small mixer for my den and if possible I want to run everything through it - Tascam BT, small combo, drum machine, pc (if that's possible). I'd like something decent but don't know where to start. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
3. All good stuff fellas - thanks I have been playing with the bass higher up to make fretting easier and to protect my lower back but I could lower the position of the bass a bit. I wouldn't say my touch has changed - I do play with a light touch but I dare say my hand is a bit more tense. I used to do warm-up exercises but stopped for some reason that I can't remember - I'll probably start again cos I think it's more important with this kind of bass.
4. I've been playing 6 string for about a month now and have developed a bit of pain in the back of my plucking hand. If it doesn't go away soon I'll go to the doctor about but I was wondering if this was a transitional thing when switching to an ERB.
5.
Thanks, Alan. Did you sell your Accugroove?
Yeh, sold now. I just have my sublime Epifani UL410 now and all I need is a Genz Benz Streamliner and I'll be very happy.
6. Sound Control is now PMT and I haven't seen any Laklands in there for some time now. I don't know about Sounds Great, haven't been for ages but I'll bet there's none left if they'e not bothering to advertise 'em. Guitar Guitar stock Lakkies but no shops in the Mank area.
7. Chalk and cheese IMHO - the Epifani is in a different class. The Epi will give you more clarity, I loved mine, it was very punchy and clean.

Probably the final gigs for me with this band... but hey ho, here we go Bollington Arts Centre Sat 16th April with support 8pm Bury Met Sat 23rd April - 9pm Playhouse 2 Shaw (Nr. Oldham) 30th April - 9pm Darwen Library Theatre Sat 7th May - 9pm
9. Oh dear...well, I wouldn't trade my Yammy for ANY Fender
10. I've had quite a few exotic basses in my time, US Laklands, Spectors, Bongos, Shukers old Stingrays etc etc, my main squeeze at the moment is a TRB6 JPII. It's up there with all of them in terms of quality etc but the sound is something else. My back up bass is a BB615 which is a cracking little bass but it's days are numbered cos I recently tried a new BB425 which is passive and has through body stringing and loved it.
11. I had one too - probably the best sounding cab I've ever had.
12. Got me ingenius Bump for price reduction
13. Sold my Accugroove cab to Geert and must be honest and say I was a bit worried about shipping over the water but my fears were unfounded. Geert was great to deal with, excellent coms etc. Being a nervous wreck, I paid for extra insurance on the shipping and Geert kindly offered to reimburse me but I declined. Have a beer on me instead - highly recommended
14. Absolutely pristine condition with no issues whatsoever - as everyone who knows me will tell you, I really look after my gear. Less than a year old. 500 watts @ 4ohms. Tube in the preamp, better DI than the LMII, mute switch - if you want to know more, please visit the MB web page cos I haven't got a clue. £450 + shipping packed in original box. Possible trade for Shuttle 9 in mint condition. Lazy pic taken whilst watching ManU v Chelsea....

16. Lovely bass Tom - does it sound different to your other Tribs?
17. Just stuck a set of Status Hot Wires on my TRB6 and they sound and feel great - cheap too IMO. I also like Ernie Balls too.
18. So tempting - can you plug an MP3 player in?
19. Been GASsing for that too Merton...damn you too!!
20. Damn you damn you damn you...you've given me GAS
21. Just wondering how other bands on the theatre circuit are doing - we play 100-200 seaters which we usually fill more or less. We have a run of four or five coming up but advance ticket sales are looking pretty grim and whilst we know a lot of people pay on the door and that's fine, the venue's are getting twitchy. I know times are hard but howzit for you at the moment?
22. Ta muchly - I'll pluck up some courage and have a dabble.
23. Will take one in the morning and post it.
24.
Ebony sawdust and glue..... maybe...
Good idea but where can I get some ebony sawdust?
