1. I wasn't playing last night, but went to see Andy Fairweather-Low. Great gig with Dave Bronze on bass, great player with some spot on harmonies too! Si

4. I picked up my 2003 US Jazz Bass for £275 with Fender moulded hardcase. Was 2nd hand granted, but mint condition. Lovely Si p.s. I am now going to go and check my local crack converters lol
5. Good call Matt, no point in letting a Bass go for less than you're comfortable with. It is a bit of a funny market, the Vintage one, things sell just for what people want to pay for them....so it becomes a very subjective area with regards to original parts etc. In any case, while you wait, it may be worth trying to source parts from around 1964 to 'restore' the bass, you can never get the finish back obviously, and so you'll always be looking at around half of what a fully original '64 would be, but by adding other original '64 parts back onto the bass, it will no-doubt add value! Good luck Si

SOLD

This looks great! I actually prefer the MIM Deluxes to the American Deluxes....aesthetically anyway, never actually tried the MIM. If I was in the market, I'd love this! My current 5 is a Squier Deluxe, it's great but it doesn't get used enough to upgrade I'm afraid.....kinda wishing that it did though haha Si

17. Try some bass solo pieces: Amerika, Teen Town or Portrait of Tracy by Jaco There are some nice jazz chord-melody pieces arranged for bass. Mike Dimin used to have them on his website, dunno of they're still there. Notably these were Autumn Leaves & Misty Si Edit: Found them here http://www.michaeldimin.com/lessons.htm near the bottom of the page
18. The bass sounds great, amazing Jazz bass tone! Yeah I've got the Ultrajazzes in one of my jazzes (the one in my avatar), really really like them! That bass is tuned to Drop C, so it's nice to hear them in a standard tuned bass! Si
19. I had an electric upright built for me by Jon and it was flawless, beautiful piece of kit. It's now departed unfortunately. I've also had a custom neck built by Jon for a Jazz bass and it's a beaut, lovely birdseye maple fingerboard, black binding, carbon rod reinforced, solid as hell! Si
20. 11 minutes! Is that a basschat record? lol Si
21. Haha, you just edited 'super' to 'extra' as I made my post! PM coming your way! Si

23. I'm not sure CS's are going to be collectable?! Even now they lose value! Anyway, still a great bass no doubt! Why not try the nordstrands on their own, and if you're really not happy with a passive sound, whack the pre in Si
24. Could you do me a couple of different pics of the headstock please mate? Sorry to mess you around, but I wanna see why I'm seeing that discolouration! lol Si
25. Hey all I have 3 sets of Ernie Ball Bass Extra Slinky's for sale, completely untouched in the packaging. I'll take £10 each or £25 for a job-lot + p&p (what? £3 ish?)
