This track, Hideaway, from his new album, is just lovely https://m.youtube.co...h?v=4v3zyPEy-Po
I've been aware of him for a while, and like a few, blown away by his ability, but just not bothered about the excess of covers. Was a little underwhelmed by the tune he did with Snarky Puppy, but still a cool collab, but just heard that Hideaway track for the first time.......that's more like it!! Genuine interest! Will explore the album Si -
Just checking, are you connecting the correct way round. i.e. in and out the right direction.
This sounds silly, but I've had a few people do this with pedals I've built for them, certainly worth checking! If plugged in correctly, and all volumes (octaves and direct) are up full, and still no signal. I'd pop it along to a pedal repairer. I recommend Owen Electronics, did a cracking job on my Line6 DL4: http://www.owenelectronics.co.uk Si
It's a cracking bass! I no longer have the need for a 5 or I would have considered getting it back. Who ever buys this will be very happy!
Thanks Joe, yeah it's a fantastic instrument, easily on par with Fodera quality build! Si
I had no idea that the Mantic even existed. This has opened a whole new seam of GAS for me
It was a short run of pedals by Mantic, an exact clone of the Meatbox (whereas their Density Hulk is remodelled). The Beefbag was discontinued the day the DOD reissue was announced. Si

Harmonic Frequency Generator, basically a very synthy fuzz with sweepable frequencies, gated and a 'chaos' control (who doesn't love a chaos control. Excellent condition (velcro on bottom of pedal), boxed with instructions. SOLD Trades welcomed, although not much I'm after at the moment, try me though Cheers Si

Hi all, I really really like this bass, but in an effort to get down to 3 basses, I'm looking to sell my Fender Japan Medium Scale Jazz (Made In Japan). This is a 32" scale bass, with the rest of the bass also slightly reduced in size, meaning a slightly smaller body etc. These are fairly rare and really wonderful basses. Mine is what you might call a Candy Apple Red, all stock except for Dimarzio Ultra Jazz pickups. The bass is passive, however a previous owner has had a plastic battery compartment routed into the rear of the bass, ready for a preamp should you want to add one. I'll also include two new and unopened sets of Dimarzio Pro Steels medium scale strings (45-100) - EXL170M: http://daddario.com/...0__Medium_Scale It's currently strung with EXL170M strings (as above). The bass comes with the original white 3 ply scratchplate, but is currently fitted with a see-through acrylic scratchplate. I would say the bass is in 8/10 condition, with only a few small impact marks on the underside of the bass, and incredibly light swirls on the rear of the bass. There are a couple of very small rough patches to the lacqer on the very end of the headstock, can't capture on photo though. I do not have a spare case/bag for this, so I would highly advise collection from Welwyn Garden City, High Wycombe or London. You can listen to the bass at the following link, all three Corybantic tracks were recorded with the bass: Corybantic.bandcamp.com £450 - No Trades Thanks Si

Yes Malcolm is retired now, but I've had some dealings with Neil recently and the service and strings are still brilliant. Si

£2k for a refinished '73.....meh It does look nice, but I wouldn't pay more than £1600 for it. But then we're back to this being a shop, it's going to be more expensive than the private market. And I agree, some really fantastic 70's Fenders about, I've still never played a better Precision than my '71 Si
-
Still eying up one of the Elwood 5s in stock for when my Shuker sells, either one of those or an Xotic Si
-
Yup, standard for all Maruszczyk payments, including my custom. Si
-
*Forum shocked that a shop sells a bass for more than the private sale value* Si
-
Bought a pedal from me, easy to deal with a paid quickly. Thanks Si
Love Victor for the simple reason that he has no inhibitions, restrictions or boundaries to what he does, or attempts with a bass guitar. He has an extremely fertile imagination as well as a mountain of talent. Sure, he's gained a reputation as a show pony, but so what? Put him in any context and he'd be able to absolutely nail it. He is also, by all accounts a very genuine, humble and generous man.
Fully agree with everything above. I studied with him a couple of years ago at one of the camps and he's incredibly lovely and very accessible for anything you want to know! Si

He's a master musician and educator, enough said, and I don't like slap solo stuff. How's this for emotion: http://youtu.be/3mBfTe9owUw Si
My custom Elwood arrived today! I'm proper chuffed with it. The craftsmanship is excellent and it plays like butter. The setup out of the box is perfect for me too, which is unusual. Usually I've got the allen keys out within 5 minutes of opening the box. Hugh
Very nice! What's custom about the build? Compared to their stock 'Human Nature' builds. Si

It basically just sounds like Stefan Lessards SSB rendition from the Dave Matthews Central Park concert, not awful, but meh. I'm not sure what tone people are expecting him to play with, a nice fat P-bass tone isn't going to cut through in a stadium like that, it isn't a band after all. Si
Thought I'd give a quick update. Last night was the first opportunity I had to sit down with the TFR and Musket pedals I built. The Musket is the hands down winner for me. So flexible and can get SUPER aggressive. Just haven't clicked with the TFR, although I'm not convinced I haven't made a boo boo somewhere in the build! It sounds REALLY congested, although it has lots of the standard TFR cap values replaced with higher values for bass use. I think further tinkering is required so I'll add a blend and mid control while I'm at it. Maybe add switchable diode options too... Any suggestions on a decent blend circuit Si? Is a paralooper overkill?
If you don't want to go down the route of a paralooper, just take a look at the Fuzz Dog Blender kit, nice with the onboard pot. Or JMK did a nice layout if you're not fussed about onboard pot: http://www.madbeanpedals.com/forum/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=3414.0;attach=2704 Si
