It looks really professional to me & clearly is aimed appropriately at the wedding market. It's just a shame some joker appears to have airbrushed out at least half of your beard

I've been gigging the Orange Bass Terror this year and it's great fun. I can only echo what has already been said. Plenty of old school thump. I think it's got a kind of punk rock spirit, no thrills controls, just plug in and play. It does reggae well, it does country and of course it does rock. What's not to like? I'm taking mine out with the SP210 cab and it's awesome. All that said if you tried the Little Bastard and loved it, you could always play it safe.

My understanding is that for mid to late '70s silverface amps and early '80s "blackface" models, the serial numbers are date encoded much the same way as Fender guitars from the late '70s: A6 + 5-digits - 1976 A7 + 5-digits - 1977 A8 + 5-digits - 1978 A9 + 5-digits - 1979 B + 5-digits - 1975, 1976 F0 + 5-digits - 1980 F1 + 5-digits - 1981 F2 + 5-digits - 1982 F3 + 5-digits - 1983 F4 + 5-digits - 1984 F9 + 5-digits - 1979, 1980 Have you missed a digit off the serial number? It seems to be one short. Unless anyone knows something I don't?

When we need to. We put a lot of work in early on & now we just meet if we have new material or a few gigs coming up

I've got no set practice routine either. Usually it's a mix of stuff from my band's set and stuff I like mixed with a couple of scales. I think it's fair to suggest I lack structure!

Two gigs since I was last on Basschat; Thursday night was London at The Troubadour. I thought we played well & were certainly well recieved. The soundman seemed to struggle with my sound during soundcheck but thankfully we got it sorted for the gig. The bass player from the support band was good and a nice chap too. Tonight was an acoustic gig in our home town. We supported Bristol's Howling Lord and again the bass player was good / a nice guy. Great sound from his JV Squier and Mark Bass rig. I was on my upright tonight and I was looking forward to the show. We played well but there were a couple of people talking which was mildly irratating. Still not enough to spoil a good couple of shows.

Carole Kay / Paul McCartney / James Jamerson are the usual suspects for me but I'd add late great Byrds 4 stringer Skip Battin too
