Hey guys, I need some help here. I have an Ampeg SVT 4 Pro, Ampeg 610HLF and Hartke 1x15 XL. I recently lost my practice space, which means it is all sitting in my garage not being used at all. So since i'm not going to be gigging again untill Aug/September at earliest i feel like i'm wasting this rig in the garage. Should i sell it and get something else perhaps lighter so its easier to carry to a practice space? Or should i just keep it. But in storage for the time being? If anyone has any suggestions for what to go for let me know. I'm seriously not sure what to do And tbh i'd rather not do a combo.

I done it a few years ago. Planet waves locking strap with an old jazz copy. I did it both ways (head first and tail first). You just sorta have to learn to move your head down so it swings back into place. Hurts like hell when the bass doesnt get enough force and lamps you in the head, you move up to soon and get the bass battering your kidney's or the other option is swing to hard and play catch the bass. I wouldnt do it now.

Hi, Out of curiousity where are you getting these from? A finance deal could be easier to pay for than taking a 1k hit on my account! One of the music shops up here did take ampeg in, but they're having issues with suppliers now. Bah! How does the CL compare with the SVT2pro? anyone know? Sorry for the hijack!

Hello, I'm interested in joining a function band. Looking to play some random covers and to be honest make a small amount of cash for doing so! I've played for 7 years and have my own transport and gear. Also have my own PA. If anyone in this area would be interested let me know. Cheers Davie

I think i know the sound you mean - I use the OC 2 for pretty much everything i do in my band. It seems to hate stuff like a low E. Like it for want of a better word - worbles. What i have found works is turning down the 2nd octave a bit - also playing mid/high neck seems to make it play nice. Eg see Chris Wolstenholme from muse in Starlight/Fury etc Hope this helps at all - It works well for me! Davie
