1. i got an alesis 3630 of the bay. 24 quid plus 10 quid for a psu from alesis. it does a broken rack ear though (doesnt bother me at all)
2. I use a samson airline or something. It's got a wee bug for your bass and prety small reciever - sorta like an fx pedal in size. I got mine for somethin really lowish on ebay. One thing about it though - if your jack is on the bottom you might want to get a cable to plug the bug into - then stick that in your bass. I had to do that with my stingray in my old band, it kept sliding out with intense movement.
3. Bumpy. I may be open to offers/trades etc.

Heyaz!

Hi, I did mean to say this sooner. My names Davie, from Aberdeen and i play bass (hence me being on bc!). Been playing nearly 7 or 8 years (i think..) and been in a silly amount of bands in my time. Music taste goes from things like RATM, to Rise against to Rush to Faith No More etc. I could go on i my most recent band was this www.myspace.com/ascensionbanduk but i left them in March to create a band which is weird for want of a better word....Pendulum/Muse/Paramore was the idea we wanted. I do have a sendspace link if anyone would like it? So in short..Hi! nice place here. EDIT: i cant spell..
5.
What you thinking?
I've a warwick corvette 5 string. Theres a thread on here with it. active pre, hard case, strap locks, etc etc. let me know
6. Trade for a bass? im serious!
7.
Just plugged mine in for the first time (Guitar Village, linky above, £76 delivered) First impressions? It's extremely good! With the Sub switch on 3 (full) it has a ton of bass, you can turn the fuzz right up (the manual told me to!) and it's well defined I used the Impedance knob from totally counter clockwise to about 12 o'clock, any further with an 18v pre and it became less like my idea of a fuzz but still sounded cool and very edgy What i currently like most about it is that (because of the Sub switch) you can have the tone knob set anywhere and still retain loads of bass in the signal. IMLE with a bass fuzz, even one with a blend control, it's usually a compromise getting the sound you want with one that sits in a mix and cuts through in the right areas. I'm itching to gig this pedal as it promises to deliver the goods in a live situation! It's also a lot smaller than i expected, about the same size as an EHX Nano pedal Only negative so far is that the Sub switch is tiny and doesn't feel too sturdy, it's also wedged right inbetween the Volume and Tone knobs so my fat fingers can't get to it without messing these two settings up. Think i'll just leave it on full though....
Any sound clips? This interests me somewhat.

Competence

I can normally get a song down in around a week - but if im needing to learn something then i'll practice for around 3 hours a day. My advice is defo to just take it slow, i know how frustrating it is when you mess up when trying to play something. If you take it slow, your hands will "learn" where to go. Or at least mines do.... Long as it stays fun you're doing fine
9. As requested.
10. No problem, just took some just now. Forgot to say also - there is a small mark on the headstock - really small white mark. I tried to get a pic of it but its not appearing. Not a huge issue but i thought id say
11. Yep that exactly. sorry, meant to say it had a treble and bass control.
12. Here is mine. Got a tidier board now, with a exp pedal and such. Also all racked together.
13. Hello, I need to sell my Warwick Corvette 5 string bass. Comes with active pre also. I will defo regret selling it, but needs must! I have a hard case and some dunlop (i think...i could be wrong totally) strap locks. Selling because i have a Lakland and a stingray and have no need for a 5 string any more. Price now dropped to £450 I'm unsure how much the bass will be to ship, but if anyone is interested i will find out! i'll try attaching an image. If anyone wants has any questions feel free to reply or PM me. Cheers!
