Are there any UK equivalent businesses selling good quality knobs and pedal toppers similar to these https://lovemyswitches.com/ Got a few pedals with cheap feeling knobs I’d like to replace.
-
I’m gonna need a bigger board!
-
We’ll my 4 outlets === 4 pedals was inaccurate as you can get split cables to power two off a single outlet 🤔
-
I just ordered a Cioks 4 which I’m super excited for despite being hidden under the board. 4 outlets is enough to drive my GT1000core, preamp, drive and one more which is currently a tuner. This is pretty handy as a deterrent from buying loads of pedals 😂 I think you can power the 4 via usb-c which makes it really easy to power via a battery which could be handy. Seems crazy to have £1k worth of pedals connected to a £15 power supply. Good to know they have great support, I know their gear is ethically produced too which is another great big tick for me.

Just got my Longsword to complete my board or at least the top of it. Still need a decent power supply, thinking Cioks 4 or Sol and a little DI to sit underneath. Only had 10 mins of playing with the Longsword but love it already, it pairs beautifully with the model feT.
-
I actually got carried away and picked one up, might have to up my game selling some stuff to offset it 😂 I’m very excited about the feT/Longsword combo. Heard some really great examples for bass and guitar so looking forward to digging in.
-
How ya getting on with this? I got the Model FeT and feel like the Longsword is the perfect companion. I even have a perfect Longsword shaped hole on my pedalboard:

If you know what you want and you’re not wanting a multifx for portability or experimentation then I’d go with the dedicated pedals. Especially if you can get them 2nd hand. I love my gt1000core, so much fun playing with signal routing and fx I wouldn’t typically have access to, especially for guitar. For my core bass tone though my Model Fet preamp plus a good drive and maybe a compressor would be fine and less money probably!
-
That’s an incredible setup 🤤 I love my core, very rewarding bit of kit if you invest a little time
-
Yeah I can see the red cables going to the pickup cavity so good to know for sure! Sometimes when cavities get this busy it can be pretty hard to follow, especially when there are inconsistent approaches to colour use etc.
-
Just to reiterate the battery goes directly to the preamp, it doesn’t split to three etc. Thanks for the help, always appreciate when people take time to answer a question. That being said if you’re going to be rude and snappy maybe it’s better if you don’t bother responding next time?

Ace will check the blend 🙌
-
The battery is connected to a board and I don’t have the schematic for it so I ain’t got a clue.

What’s the best way to identify what pickups a Warwick has? I know the circuits are active but not sure about the pickups. Really loving this bass after playing a 4 string p bass for the last 6 months!
-
I got the GTK core and love it. So much you can do, playing around with parallel drives and amps is loads of fun and cool tones. I’ve had mine around 6 months and feels like I’ve barely touched the surface.

I’m running an EAE Model FeT with a Boss GT-1000core into a GK Fusion S 800 return and bypassing the preamp entirely. I do have the option to 4cm the GK preamp back into the signal chain if I ever need more tonal options. Super happy with it though. I was super tempted by the GSS Sumo but for not much more size (or £ if you buy 2nd hand) you can get a solid class d which gives a little more redundancy/flexibility. It’s very superficial but having something sat on top of a cab is nice, even if it is still pretty tiny 😂

Idles are ace, the last osees record was good too.
-
I’ve always played Warwick and similar style basses, I got a Schecter P4 Exotic and I love it. I’ve pretty much exclusively played it for the last 6 months, a big part of that is probably the novelty of a 4 string after so long playing 5s. I was looking at a BB735a coincidentally before settling on the Schecter, the pj setup is more versatile but sometimes stripping back the options really helps focus. One day perhaps I’ll pop jazz bridge pick-up in it or even a soapbar but for now I’m really enjoying it.

I love the Dunlop Torex Triangle orange picks, think they’re 0.6mm. Plenty of nice attack when played hard and give a really consistent sound/volume. I find with hard picks I have to crank up the compressor but probably just due to sloppy technique. For guitar I usually play with heavier 0.73-3mm picks depending on the music.

Relisting this beast. Absolutely love the tone and (to my ears at least) really faithfully captures the tone of a GK 800rb. The construction quality is the best I've ever seen, everything just feels so smooth, no marks and velcro on the back although I can remove if not wanted. It's been acting as an always on drive for the majority so hasn't been stomped and never gigged. Selling because my pedal board aspirations have changed somewhat and it seems overkill to have this along with my GK head along with being skint! Going to really regret getting rid of this but has to be done. On the possible trade/part trade list is EAE Model FeT or potentially DG HL, SA Atlas or Cali76 compressors. Can include shipping to UK in the price or knock a bit off for collection. For more details heres the original listing:

Na that’s fair enough! I’ve enjoyed odd tracks of theirs in the past but never felt compelled to listen to more, put their latest album on and loved it. -

Obsessed with these at the moment 🐷🐷🐷🐷🐷🐷🐷 -
I really wanted a Bass Block but couldn’t find them anywhere. I think the selling point for me was that it seems to sound great but it’s transparent enough that you could just drop whatever preamp pedal fit the bill. In the end I went GK fusion and super happy though, it sounds great and I can always go straight into the return and use as a power amp if I fancy a different preamp pedal.
