2.
Hey Homer.. What courier company do you use...? Posting a 2x10 for a Tenner...sounds real good.. Garry
Parcelflight would do it for £11.75 (£10 + vat) for next day delivery I've posted a combo in excess of 50 lbs for this price. They base the charge mainly on dimentions rather than weight. P
 3. Pretty sure Sound Control stopped selling EBS gear a couple of years back.
 4. Just checked their site (machinehead.co.uk) and they claim to have the 750 in stock P
Machinehead in Hitchin is an Aguilar dealer - don't know if they have a 750 in stock though.... P
P
Is there anyone not a million miles from Milton Keynes who has a Aguilar DB750 I could have a go on? I love the tone of my Walkabout - the extra balls it has compared to SS stuff! I'd like a similar tone but with more Watts(Some say the tone of the bigger Mesa amps isn't the same?) The Gallery is next option but thought it might be worth an ask anyway. Ta
6.
Ditched EBS then?
Yup, when he played the Jazz Cafe in camden, last month he was using the SWR rig
 7.
We were at The Black Bull in Preston town centre and it was packed to the rafters There was a really good atmosphere and we went down a storm which is just as well as we nearly had to call it off at the last minute - singer had a temperature and sore throat, drummer chucked up twice before we went on. Lot of bugs going around up here.
There you go Homer - two weeks ago you were threatening to chuck it all in due to half empty venues and unappreciative punters P
 8. Really inpressed Mike, and Ive only played one track and watched one vid (Push) so far... P
 9. If there there was a mix up on the returned items it could of course be the pots that are wrong and the knobs are the correct ones. Maybe Dave's pics will help P
 10.
Cheers Platypus - one TRB5 headed my way for £199!!
Yup, noticed the TRB5 on here. Glad you found on there

 14.
Reply from Lakland "We've run in to this problem with a few of our Skyline production runs. A smaller tuner was used which isn't compatable with the replacement D-tuner. The solution is to have the hole reamed out to fit the new tuning machine. A qualified technician can do this fairly easily. If you are interested in having a complete set of tuners that all have the same finish, we do offer a set of american made Hipshots which are replacements for the korean made tuners that came with your bass. These have the same finish as the D-tuner that you bought. These would also require reaming to fit properly." Looks like I'm inot buying another 3 US tuners and having all the holes reamed out. Platypus - Does your DJ4 have satin finish string-posts? Does your Hipshot have the same?
Dave, Yes, satin finish on both as I remember - NiceGuyHomer is the current owner of that DJ though. Hope its gets sorted out ok P
 15. Dave, I also emailed Lakalnd earlier this year to obtain the Hipshot part number for a DJ4 - can't confirm what part ref they quoted atm, though will check later. As I was dropping the bass off at the Gallery for a setup, I got them to also supply and fit the Hipshot (quoting the part number supplied by Lakland). Martin never mentioned about having drill anything. P
The story so far: 1. email lakland - What is the correct Xtender for a DJ4 please?" - HE6C 1/2" 2. email Hipshot - What is the correct Xtender for a DJ4 please?" - HE6C 1/2" 3. None in the UK so order from Hipshot directly 4. Wait 2 weeks, collect from Post Office, pay duty and tax 5. Doesn't fit:- - Headstock bush is larger - no way I'm going to drill it out, anyway they are advertised as a drop-in replacement, - Can't use existing bush as threads are different - Chrome instead of satin finish 6. Try it on Duck Dunn - same problem 7. Irate email to Lakland and Hipshot - awaiting reply
"Strike while the iron is hot"
Not bad, though I got my Lakland BG on eBay last year for £ 386 (from uk) - complete with gigbag, string winder. Was a Lake Placid blue one in very good condition. Was just lucky that time... P

 21. Happy to leve feedback for Gwill. Bought a small combo from me, some time ago, and recently passed me on (f.o.c) a nice set of LaBella flats that he had no use for. BTW: The strings are still sounding good - expect they will last for years ! P
