Got a BOSS one. The very helpful guys in Jaywalk guitars said it had a better quality transformer so would be able to handle what ever I could throw at it. Was either or some cheap plasticy looking thing so I felt I should go for quality.

On the octaver front I've been hearing murmurings about the Chord OC-50. Figured for £40 odd it could be worth a look. Anyone had any experience with it?

Fuzz/distortion/overdrive that's out of this world

I used to have a Danelectro Daddy-O distortion and I could get some really dirty, lo-fi sounds out of it. Could even do a passable 'Lemmy' tone. The 3 band EQ meant it was really versatile too. -

From what I hear the new Clone Theory is good but has been described by some critics as 'less exciting' compared to the original but I imagine that is just subjective.
