1.
Why would you leave +Ve for something you are sending back?
If you're in on the gag with this fella? I mean, that Axe guitar is the same one from a previous auction, isn't it? Unless he's bought a job lot.
2.
Hee, hee. It's tempting, isn't it?
If he's as crazy as he seems, I'd bet he's 'holed' the lot!
3.
Haha! If you check his other items, there is a set of 'plans to build your own penis enlarger'! Somehow seems appropriate when looking at the unique Snakehead bass
What IS that thing? Seriously??
4. If it'se getting returned and the sale was succesfully completed, MDP is still getting charged his insertion and final values fees, so he's losing out.
5. I knew someone who had the P version and swore he'd never sell it. Yeh, Kubicki ciruitry but they weren't around for long. HArdly ever se 'em popping up over here. Remember freight and import duty/VAT if you go for this.
6.
Well that explains his feedback
Sale being mutually cancelled after feedback left?
7. 'Soft learner string action...' - this is getting better!!
8.
The Ebay policy says: Sellers are not allowed to cancel bids or end listings early in order to avoid selling an item that did not meet the desired sale price. This is considered to be a violation of our reserve price policy.
I thought there was a time limit on ending listings early on ebay?
9.
Concavity gets my vote.
Easily! The best!!
10. Sound wave would take longer to propagate using 15s, so if you're standing too close you wont be experiencing the full sound of your rig.
11. Didn't know that. Sure I've got an artcle on Fender necks from Bass Player lying about somewhere. I've got 2 Strats with soft-V and a Tele with hard-V. One of the Strats is a Jap 40th Anniv and is my fav guitar neck.
12.
Is that the one with YMCA, Erasure, Bronski Beat, and George Michael constantly on the jukebox??
Kevin, Interesting that you know of this! I, for one, have only heard tell of the good times to be had in that establishment!
13. No, mate, it was non-original Jazz that I bought on here a couple of years back. Very well done bar the neck profile. It's gonna take a bit of time to get the oil finish right so don't expect pix soon!
14. Pop into the Waterloo Bar on Argyle Street, opp the Radisson Hotel. You'll have a good time!
15.
is this on the bass I think it is?
Enlighten me, dear boy.
16.
Neither is a soft V. I'll get me coat.
That's why I sh*t it. It would not have worked. Anyway, she's up in the loft letting the tung oil coats harden. Didn't see the point of going nitro on it.
17. Odd one, this. It looks like a Shergold Meteor body with a bass neck. AFAIK, the Meteor was only made as a six-string guitar. It's possible it's a Shergold Modulator bass that has been reshaped. Certain the Fender-style bridge is non-original. The Control 'module' is indeed the type found on Shergold Customs. Best bet is to sign up at Shergold and ask them for info: http://www.shergold.co.uk/index.html
18. So, yesterday saw the spokeshave and scrapers coming out, along with the sander and sanding blocks. But as I got into the shaping I sh*t it, and just went for the same profile on my VJ reissues. Light stain mixed in with tung oil and 50% solution white spirit. Two coats and she's up in the loft to dry for a day or so before othe coats go on.
19. Well, I don't gig any more but I tend to have lo-hid mids pushed just enough to really bring out the fourth position harmonics on a Jazz bass. That's it for me.
20. That's the one!!
21. Grim times, indeed. Just as a polite suggestion, you could maybe think about taking those pix again, cos the camera settings haven't captured the Sonic Blue. You really need to show that colour off!
22. sh*te!!
23.
Portree in Skye does them down at the harbour chippie. We regularly have graduates working with us for a year at a time and usually from London area. The one thing they all noted was that when standing alone in a Glasgow bar someone will always offer some friendly banter whereas in London you could stand their all night and no-one would even notice. 1982 was last time i drank in London - Floyd at Earls Court so too distant to recall if that's true or not. Dave
That wee chippy down by the harbour is a good one!
24. I just use nut and - for acoustics - saddle blanks offa the net. I don't have the patience to clean and dry out animal bone; it's just not worth the faff.
