The One You Let Go and Would Most Like Back
mattbass6 replied to snorkie635's topic in General Discussion
There are 4 I regret selling. The first is my first ever bass, a black Marlin Slammer. I wish I had that still so it could hang on my studio wall. Secondly my refinished 1964 Precision bass. It was completely refinished but still a little tatty. Thirdly, my Yamaha TRB6p Mk 1 bass. I loved that thing so much and still can’t remember why I moved it on. I played some very big gigs with that beauty. Never found it after much searching. Finally, my Mike Lull PJ5. A stunning bass and another bass that I played some cool shows with. All 4 have huge sentimental meaning for me. What a plonker. The things we do eh? -

I did think about this, but it’s also about not swapping basses live, unless I really have to. I may as well just stick to the 5 string. Thanks though ☺️

It will be for live only. Thanks ☺️

Thanks everyone. The Digitech Drop pedal looks really interesting. I’m going to see if I can find one to try, next week. Really appreciate your support and input. Have a great weekend. Cheers ☺️

I’m not sure if this is the right place to post, so please feel free to move to the relevant thread if that is the case. In a nutshell, I’m pretty much done with 5 and 6 string basses but the band I’m in, does require a low B on occasions. Is there a pedal that can be used that tracks well, for a 4 string bass. I’m so utterly comfortable with my current basses as far as feel, string spacing, scale length and sound, I’m loathed to use anything else. Any help is appreciated. Cheers ☺️

Comfort straps for me. Used them for 12 years now, and have never looked elsewhere.

I’m so confused. I’m not a fan of Rick’s but I love Spector’s, yet I find myself drawn to this. FFS! 👀

I used to use Dunlop Super Brights SS 45-105 for years but then I rediscovered my old faves, LaBella SS 45-105. The Dunlops are amazing, but the LaBella strings are the perfect feel, tension and zing for me.

I have, quite a few times, but the oddest one was from a guy who was working behind the bakery counter in Morrisons, Cardiff. Very bizarre 😂 -
Nearly did a deal with Will just before NY. My fault the deal didn’t go ahead, but Will was always quick to respond, fair, and honest. I’m sure we will have future dealings ☺️
