Got a couple of parts left up for grabs: Hipshot HB7 Tuner Set In Gold, Comes with all ferrules and screws, £40 or trade for a set of decent tuners in Chrome, preferably reverse style. 3. Please ignore the price at the top. So up for grabs was the start of a build... as you can see I've acquired the great majority of the parts however a few unforeseen circumstances I've had to quit my building aspirations for now and I am selling the parts out here. So without further ado here's what is available: 2002 U.S. Alder Genuine Fender Jazz Bass Body (£200) - Finished in black, has picked up a few marks due to age which I have pictured a new one will set you back in the region of £360+. £200 will get you a quality body posted. 2017 Limelight 60's Jazz Bass Neck (£300) - Rosewood slab board, clay dots, made to feel like it's been used for at least 50 years, black face on the headstock with period correct logo installed. This was never fitted to the body and never had any hardware fitted so is an as new neck, I paid £360 for it, £300 posted is a bargain for this "as new" neck plus you won't have the 13 week wait. Hipshot HB7 Tuners Gold (£40) - Set of 4, in excellent condition, comes with it's ferrules and screws. £40 posted. Pre 2010 Fender Deluxe Bridge Gold (£35) - Again in excellent unused condition, £35 posted. Fender Gold Neck Plate And Plastic Gasket (£20) - Again with screws, unopened and unused £20 posted Set of Fender Gold Screws (£5) - Unopened and Unused £5 posted Gold Jazz Bass Control Plate (£10) - Unopened and unused £10 posted Fender Control Knobs - (£10) Unopened and unused £10 posted Gold String Tree - (£5) Unopened and unused £5 posted Black 3 ply Pickguard designed to retrofit on a US Standard Jazz Body (£15) unopened and unused £15 posted. So first up is my Ibanez Tube Screamer this is TS9B and is designed specifically for bass I would like £80 posted for this: For decades guitarists have seen the Ibanez Tube Screamer as the go to overdrive pedal. But now it's not just guitarists that can benefit from this awesome overdrive pedal. The TS9B is a Tube Screamer that is designed from the ground up to offer the same style of clipping grit but optimised for bass guitar. Keep the gain low for vintage edge 'leave it on all the time' sound or cracking the gain up for some rawkus bass distortion, but just like the guitar version you will never lose your clarity and punch. Come bassists it's time to beat the guitarists at their own game! Vortex Flanger's through-zero option also gives you the ability to get both a negative and a positive effect to your flange sounds, while the other options allow you to go from a classic tube-type flanger to a more soft sounding tape flanger. The knobs allow you to set the speed of the modulation, but also the depth and the intensity, giving you a set of well-rounded controls. You are also able to set the delay time, which is they key to finetuning the effect, no matter if you're going for subtle flanging or more extreme jet flanging sounds. Finally, the Feedback knob allows you to feed the modulated signal back into the pedal, which basically gives you more of everything that's so cool about flanging. But there is more to Vortex Flanger than meets the eye. 6. Hi All Up for sale/trade is my 2016 Fender Roger Waters Precision Bass. It's huge, in all aspects, big, thick body, neck that could be used to land aircraft on, stock pickup removed and replaced with a House Of Tone House Special P Bass which provides a much bigger sound and tonal clarity (sadly I don't have the SPB-3 pickup but these are fairly cheap and easy to source, amazing sustain due to the brass nut in combination with the new bridge, changed the black BBOT for a Hi-Mass Fender Bridge and changed the pickguard screws and knobs for chrome, however I have still got all the black stuff if you wanted to return it to stock, in all fairness it looks the dogs danglies and plays even better. It's in near mint condition, pickguards got a few marks on it, but nothing else of note. Currently set up with Waters strings of choice the Rotosound Flatwound 77 Jazz strings (45 to 105). Don't let the Made in Mexico tag put you off, it is an extremely well put together, as are most signature basses out of Mexico. £550 cash, but I am open to negotiation around this, but this price includes U.K. shipping, Thomann hard bass case, case candy + new & original hardware. Not keen on shipping outside the U.K. due to cost and previous bad experience. TRADES CONSIDERED. Fender Classic 60's Reissue Jazz Bass (CIJ/MIJ/MIM) The only stipulation I have is... it has to be BLACK. Fender Classic 70's Reissue Jazz Bass (As above Black) Fender Geddy Lee Jazz Bass (CIJ/MIJ/MIM) (Black) Any questions just ask. You can find my feedback in my signature. 8. I can't fathom this, I once owned one of these incredible basses, such a versatile and awesome sounding beast plus this has the provenance of being owned and played by one of the best bassists in the UK. Someone is going to get an unbelievable bargain right here!
9. Hi. Just acquired myself a rather nice Gibson 335 bass, I hear all sorts of horror stories about the 3 point gibson bridge. So I have noted that 2 companies do an after market bridge Babicz and Hipshot. Both look superb and both look like they retrofit which is an added bonus. What I would like to know is which one is best though? Which one is going to provide more bank for my buck? Anyone had experience with either or both? Many Thanks Tim
10. Hi all Bought this, not so much on a whim but, to use for a project that I recently took part in, as this has now finished and I'll be returning to my fretted, here is a chance to save yourself some money & time on a mint, wonderful fretless. Bought this brand new from Thomann very recently and I can honestly, hand on heart, say this is on a par with much more expensive basses (for example, US Jazz basses ;-)). The preamp is ridiculously flexible, passive really Jaco-esque, active... so versatile and with tweaking can even sound like a piezo, I really can't fault anything, what is more everything works as it should! I am amazed by the quality of these Sire basses, I wouldn't see it a far fetched idea of me purchasing a 5 string in the future - as this really didn't disappoint. 13. Hola All. I've got a 2002 4003 and tbh, although it's not in ridiculously poor condition, there's a few long and deep scratches and some dings etc. that although don't go through to the wood, I'm guessing won't be able to be polished out. As such I am contemplating getting it refinished/resprayed, I want to keep it in the Jetglo finish. My questions are: Would getting it resprayed affect the tone? It does sound rather lovely and I wouldn't want to compromise that. With it being a neck-thru would the fretboard, as this is varnished, also need redoing? With regards to the binding, would it require rebinding or could that just be clear sprayed? Whats the difference with Nitro, Poly and Ric paints and varnishes? Apart from the obvious answer, whats going to be best for the task? Now on to my next questions does anyone have any recommendation of anyone in the North Wales/North West area who could carry out the task to an exceptional standard? What's the likely costs overall? Many Thanks Tim
14. Hollar Guys! Got one landing imminently it's got a tortie pickguard however in keeping with my other 2 basses (Waters P and Jetglo Rickie) I'd like to get a single ply black guard to on it. Anyone tell me if it's like a standard Fender Fit or is it something I may have to get made up by one of the fab guys on here who does that sort of thing? Regards Tim
15. Hi all As the title suggests I am looking to get the most out of my beautiful TD650 and I want to change out the valve. I know it's a 12ax, and I know that it's used with the valve drive section. But which valve is going to bring out the best from the amp? Thoughts and musings are more than appreciated. Tim
16. Hi All. 4003 treble pickup bezel, retrofits to the pickup and makes it easier to play fingerstyle. Excellent condition. Based in Chester, UK. £20 including postage (on eBay for £25). Will be a bit of postage for international. Tim
17. Hi guys! I am looking for a trade on this cab for an EBS NeoLine 210 or 212 (has to be 4ohm) or an EBS ProLine 210 also 4ohm. I am just trying to reduce my onstage footprint with me now taking on Keyboard duties live as well as main bassist. It's in mint condition and will come with the Mark World padded cover. It's been used but never in anger and has a real crisp tone. With it being 4ohms it can shift some serious air and when paired with my Reidmar 250 it's crazy loud. Price above is for trade value, cash wise £450 O.N.O. The Standard 104HR is an exceptional, professional cabinet that performs well in any club, big or small. It puts out impressive power at 800 watts and weighs only about 49 lbs. Working bassists love it for its power, high-quality sound and portability. The 104HR is designed for standalone use or combination with a Standard 151HR or a Standard 102HF. TECHNICAL SPECS IMPEDANCE 8 or 4 ohms SPEAKER SIZE 4x10 in. BASS PORT rear TWEETER 1" compression driver with custom horn POWER HANDLING 800W RMS (AES Standard) CROSSOVER FREQUENCY 3.5 kHz FREQUENCY RESPONSE 35 Hz to 20 kHz SENSITIVITY 103 dB SPL WEIGHT 48.28 lbs / 21.9 Kg WIDTH 23.35 in. / 59.3 cm HEIGHT 23.54 in. / 59.8 cm DEPTH 19.02 in. / 48.3 cm I would prefer collection from Saltney/Chester and am happy to meet in the middle or even deliver if local Enough. I haven't got any decent packaging at the moment so Would be reluctant to post. Any Questions Just Ask! Regards Tim
18. In which case I'll leave my set up as is. I am very happy with the tone that I'm getting so it's not broken, I won't fix it.
19. I know it seems a daft question but I'm running my reidmar through a Markbass 104HF 4 ohm cab at present and it's surprisingly earth shatteringly loud. I am contemplating an Orange Isobaric SP212 cab as it'll be more compact than what I have now but will I still be able to achieve the same sort of volumes as I am with my markbass? I get mightily confused with Ohmage etc. So if someone could enlighten me I would be ever so grateful.

21. Hi All! Here I have got up for grabs a Mantra Bass Filter. Cracking bit of kit, wonderful tonal variety and a great Filter effects. Reason for sale it's just too overkill for my needs. Manta Bass Filter Manta Bass Filter The Soundblox 2 Manta Bass Filter is the next generation of the popular Soundblox Pro Bass Envelope Filter. The Manta features 12 finely crafted filter effects plus eight variations of distortion, a feature not seen before in the Soundblox line of filter effects. These Distortion Types are not just crunch, or amp simulation; they are specifically designed to work in tandem with the filter effect selections. The pedal’s filters are controllable by its 2 envelope followers, or sine, square, and saw tooth LFO. Plus, like all Soundblox 2 pedals, the Manta is compatible with the Source Audio Dual Expression Pedal, the Hot Hand 3 Wireless Effects Controller, or MIDI control signals via the Soundblox HUB. The Manta features a very unique signal path, internally splitting the instrument’s dry and distorted signals. The dry signal alone controls the envelope, increasing the playing response from the filter. The pedal’s 12 filter effects include 2 and 4-pole Low-Pass, Single-Peak, Multi-Peak, and Phasers. The Distortion Types include Hard and Soft clip, Octave distortion, Fold-back, Quantized, and synth-like Gated Fuzz. Each distortion has independent gain levels adjusted by the Drive SOUNDBLOX 2 MANTA BASS FILTER FEATURES & SPECIFICATIONS Diverse Sound Palette — Features up to 24 different Low Pass, High Pass, Band Pass, Single Peak, Multi-Peak, and Notch filters.
