  1. Johna was an absolute gent to deal with from start to finish. Please deal with the utmost confidence. Thanks again. Tim
  2. HI All Putting this up as I had full intention of installing it in my Stingray, but never got around to it and have now gotten used to the stock preamp in it so this is surplus to requirements. It's in excellent condition. Quick Overview The MMSR 4 Knob 3 Band has been designed with characteristics very similar to the original MM Stingray© 2 Band EQ, in order to retain the same interaction between the MM pickup and the electronics, crucial in creating the original pre EB sound colours. A Mid Sweep, is included along with original MM style Bass and Treble. When the Mid boost/cut is centred, its effect is neutral and the EQ is purely late 70s MM style. £95 includes p&p. Any questions just ask. Warm Regards Tim
  3. That cab is giving my uncomfortable feelings... I have the BB750 already and through my barefaced it is literally earth shattering... but that cab is so so pretty. GLWTS.
  4. Hi Fellow Lord's of The Low End. Up for grabs here is a little bundle of stuff that works amazingly well together. Sadly it's not quite what I am looking for tonally so I have reverted to something a bit more traditional. So what's included is a pair of 60's Fender Vintera Jazz Pups as found in their most recent 60's Reissue Jazz Basses, real traditional sounding, but awesome with the preamp. Bought from Bass direct a few months back all original box, instructions, spare tone caps and 2 spare solder-less points included for the ground for £150, A little about the John East - Is it possible to retain the original sound of a J style bass?, but with a modern Active EQ? in the same preamp, along with no changes to my bass? In response, we have created the J-TONE pre amp, replicating the authentic original passive wiring of the J style bass with a high spec Active EQ. It's designed as a direct drop-in replacement, including a place for the battery. It's easy to fit at home using basic tools, no soldering, no physical changes to the instrument*. The Passive wiring is available as either the classic Volume / Volume / Tone, or for those who prefer a master volume - Volume / Blend / Tone. Plug-in tone caps allow additional fine tuning of the passive tone control. The Active EQ is simplicity itself, incorporating highly responsive bass and treble controls, taken from our new high end UNI-PRE system. Internal edge wheels allow individual custom voicing for both the bass and treble control spectrums. Instrument qualities can be enhanced in conjunction with tone-shaping to match playing styles. It has the retro knobs fitted from east (an extra £25) & a spare set of chrome knobs if that is your thing. I want £150 all in with P&P. Any questions just ask.
  5. Excellent. Sorry for so many questions, I am ever so grateful for your help.
  6. Smashing. Now excuse my ignorance further which classes as the first or second slot? Closest to the front or closest to the back of the amp?
  7. Long shot, do you happen to know which valve is for the gain stage? That sounds like a good option to explore.
  8. So I’ve got a Mesa BB750, monster of an amp, but I think it is due a revalve. It has 4 12ax7 or ecc83’s whatever designation you prefer to use. Has a real classic almost borderline SVT tone minus the heft. What I am really trying to seek out is a bit of guidance on what are the best valves to whack in there to get as fuller tone as possible. I like nice warm lows, punchy mids with a nice crisp top, but not too sizzly. I am using a Stingray & Jazz Bass both with East Preamps and have an MXR compressor going in the front. i am all ears. Thanks
  9. Thanks for letting me know Krispn 🙂
  10. I use a BB750 and agree tone is pretty close. I have had both the SVT classic & II-pro and gained a hernia 😳. In other news I would love this bass, however would need to sell my Yamaha BB1024x which I’ve done mods too before I could buy this. Good luck with the sale buddy.
  11. Hi All Up for grabs is my stock Stingray pickup from my US Stingray. I have swapped across to a Bartolini as I prefer a closed top pickup. As you can see it has signs of use, it sounds thunderous and It’s been professionally removed by KGB in Birkenhead, whilst he installed the Bartolini. £45 including postage ONO Any questions just ask. Thanks Tim
  12. Honestly one of the best and easiest transactions ever. Great conversation, excellent purchase, super helpful. Everyone can deal with the utmost confidence.
  13. Ian has just purchased my AVRI P. a true gent from start to finish, excellent comms and all round splendid chap. deal with confidence.
  14. Hi Got one of these lovely fender US bass bridges which has been taken from my US Elite Jazz bass as I've moved across to a Babicz Bridge. Quality bit of kit, in excellent condition, comes with ferrules, and screws. £30 delivered to your door. Thanks Tim
  15. Sid has been an absolute diamond to deal with, he’s bought my TC Hypergravity, great communications and a true gent throughout. Please deal with the utmost confidence.
  16. Hi All Got a few pedals up for grabs here, so without further ado: MarkBass Super Synth v.2 - Needs no introduction, one hell of a pedal & so versatile. The octave function alone is worth its weight in gold. All sounds can be edited on Mac or PC with USB connection. Comes with its box, power supply etc. (SOLD) MXR Bass Envelope Filter - Funky sounds all contained in a Funky purple sparkly box. Pedal is in used but well kept condition. Unfortunately no box with this one but will come with an MXR patch cable. (£75) Way Huge Swollen Pickle Mk II - Imagine a more malleable Big Muff. Pure fuzzy goodness. Comes with a Way Huge box, but for an Aqua Puss for some bizarre reason. Great with Bass & also great with Guitar. (SOLD) TC Electronic Hyper Gravity - A cracking compressor pedal, the tone prints give an endless palette of options. Works great with both bass and guitar. (£40) All prices include p&p and of course I am more than open to offers. However I am not looking for trades as I am funding a big purchase. Any questions just ask. Thanks for looking. Tim
  17. Gosh that’s lovely.
  18. But just think of the low end.... Open to interesting trades.
  19. Hi all. Up for grabs is my less than 6 months old Orange Terror Bass MKII. I am literally selling this as I have been most fortunate to land an AD200B & this will, with great pain, become surplus to requirements. I have to say this amp is one of the most versatile bass amps I’ve ever had & it pairs well with my Barefaced Super Twin. Works great with active & passive basses and take effects pedal like a beast. The valves has been upgraded with Electro Harmonix Russian Gold valves, this in my opinion has improved the over tone and versatility of this already amazing amp, it will also come with the stock valves. It has its box, guarantee etc and will include everything accordingly. Any questions, please just ask. A Bit of info from Orange: The all new, re-designed Orange Terror Bass 2 has arrived and it sounds better than ever. With an all valve front end, the Terror Bass is a 500W hybrid bass amp with a valve preamp and solid state power amp, making it closer to the sound of our flagship AD200 than ever before. The front panel remains the same layout to the original Terror Bass but with an added clean switch, giving more headroom and smoother, clean sounds. From clean pop sounds through to gritty rock tones the Terror Bass can do it all. A pad switch on the front for active basses takes 6dB off the input sensitivity. The effects loop is valve on the send and solid state on the return. The Terror bass is a Class D amp with 500 watts of power into 4 Ohms and 250 Watts into 8 Ohms, the limiter switch on the back prevents the output stage from being pushed too hard into 4 ohms. The Terror bass is perfect for any situation, whether studio, practice or live gig. Singled channel Hybrid amp: Class D power amp with valve pre-amp Clean switch Variable input sensitivity for active or passive basses Balanced DI out
  20. Just did a trade with James involving my Sandberg California and his Lakland 55-02. Great communications from start to finish, really pleasant transaction and would highly recommend him. Please deal with utmost confidence.
  21. How do! Recently got this bass in a trade with @sunfish of this here parish, however after some tweeking and playing about with this magnificent bass, it's just not quite what I am looking for. So here's the skinny on it: Made in Germany in 2011. Spectacular looking and lovely to play. Great tone. All the usual sounds you’d expect from a “Jazz” bass but with extra depth and clarity if you want it. 2 – piece Ash body 6 bolt maple neck with rosewood fretboard 22 frets Zero fret 34” scale 2 Delano Jazz type pickups Sandberg bridge Sandberg tuners 2- band active/ passive pre amp : Controls are: Volume push-pull / Balance / Bass / Treble Weight 9.2lbs I’m looking for a trade ideally, I would like a P Bass (MIA, MIJ or MIM (Roger Waters, Nate Mendel, 50’s Roadworn RI etc) happy to entertain other P’s as well (Lakland Sandberg etc.) Any other questions please just ask.
