  1. Just watching the crowded house set, I really like Nick Seymours playing and there’s something very satisfying about seeing a DB751 and 8x10 on stage
  2. I agree that pick-up placement is key to his live sound, it just sounds so right for him
  3. I thought you could buy that version, with the MM pickup?
  4. Still seems strange, seeing a RHCP stage set without a couple of GK stacks behind him!
  5. Look up some private parking companies. I did it when I went to a gig at the o2 and got a space in a secure office building car park, all weekend for £25. They basically use the car parks of offices etc that don’t normally get used on weekends.
  6. It works for me, great spot you had!
  7. Did I see right, that Flea is now using SVT’s?
  8. Congrats on the new amp. I lent my Warwick streamer and Barefaced big twin 2 to a friend last weekend, and he used it with a ABM600 and Sansamp para driver. F**k me did it sound good!
  9. our drummer now deals with these type of payment gigs, maybe that’s where the problem lies 😂
  10. And I was centre of the standing area!
  11. I like that venue, I’ve seen Reef and Fatboy Slim there
  12. For you guys doing gigs through Concur, how long is taking to get paid? We’ve been waiting almost a month now
  13. Saw Red Hot Chili Peppers at Old Trafford cricket ground last night. First time I’ve ever been to that particular venue. The guests staying at the Hilton on site had a great view from their balconies. Was meant to be going with a group of friends, but for various reasons a lot couldn’t make it and it ended up just the wife and myself. Had a great time, band sounded good, would’ve liked Fleas bass a little higher in the mix but I guess I’m biased, and it could’ve been down to where we were standing, as always seems to be the way at outdoor gigs. Caught some of Thundercat set, he seems like a very likeable chap, but I got kind of bored after a while. Have to say, I hope I’ve still got Fleas stage energy at 59yrs old, he’s like a puppy being let off the lead!
  14. I’ve never understood why you see so few of these, yet so many of the bass driver DI. These are far better imho, that mids control is the golden ticket! GLWTS
  15. Just watching it on iPlayer, not sure if it’s my dodgy eyes but Rich Jones looks like he’s got two SVT’s and two Helix rack units in a rack next to his two Ampeg 8x10’s
  16. I still have my very early Evo RC, they look so cool, but are an utter b***rd under stage lights when you’re not yet familiar with the layout!
  17. Completely agree, but sending one to someone with 775k subscribers would be a far better start than the tumbleweed experience while we wait for a Ashdown demo! 😃
  18. Just send one to Andertons and let Lee and Nathan do a demo on it. Their YouTube channel has 775k subscribers!
  19. Completely agree. Look at companies like Darkglass, the day a product is launched there’s videos all over YouTube by the likes of Nate Navarro, Amos Heller, Patrick Hunter. That’s a lot of views of your product in a very short space of time. I really like Ashdown, and their customer service is legendary, but they’re really missing a trick here
  20. Has anyone seen any kind of marketing video of the 750 yet?? I find it really odd that Ashdown have launched a £1500 amp, which shows as being available to buy, yet there’s not one single launch/demo video to accompany it
  21. Thank you. I really like the colour, even though I only ended up with it as they sold the Ducati white one before I could get to Bass Direct!
  22. Up for sale is my Dingwall NG2. Laguna Seca blue with maple neck and matching headstock. Being the NG model, it comes fitted with the Darkglass tone capsule 3 band preamp for bass, lo mid, and hi mid. Frequencies are 70hz, 500hz and 2.8khz. It’s a very versatile preamp, as is the bass itself. Hipshot ultra lite tuners, and it’s currently strung with Payson 45-105 strings. I know we’re used to seeing these being used with a plethora of Darkglass pedals and a brutal distortion tone, but I’ve used this for all kinds of genres and it’s always worked well. It does have a couple of marks on it, there’s a small crack in the finish between two of the control knobs and unfortunately this has chipped a very small amount of the finish away. I’m sure it can be fixed, but it’s never really bothered me too much. There are also some string rub marks on the pickup casing. This is the later, rounded end pick up model. I’ve been trying to find the exact date I bought it, but I’m fairly sure it’s a 2018 model. I was really struggling to put a price on it, the newest model is now around the £1699 mark at Bass Direct, I did do a couple of searches for used but couldn’t find one the same as this, closest I could find was a combustion 4 at £1200. I bought this before they came with a gig bag, but I do have a generic Warwick Rockbag that it will come with. I don’t have a hard case or box so I’m reluctant to post it, but I’m more than happy to travel 100 miles or so from Bristol to do a meet up. I’m not looking for any trades on this I’m afraid, I E got too much stuff already! Open to sensible offers, but I’m not desperate to sell so no silly low ball offers please. Thanks for looking, if I’ve missed anything, please just ask, and if you want any more specific pics, again just ask. * Edit: fresh set of Dunlop nickel steels fitted now. *Price drop to £1075*
  23. Agreed, that is pretty poor form
