  1. £139 according to Andertons website
  2. I can’t quite figure out why they put the tone and blend pots inside, so you have to open the pedal up to adjust them. Is it just to make folks think they’re getting something different to a B3k?
  3. Saw them in Cardiff last night. Great show. The great hall at Cardiff Uni is only about 1500 capacity, so a really nice size venue to see a band. Dirty Honey were great. Rival Sons were fantastic as always, Jay Buchanan has such a good voice
  4. As @Mertonsays, it could just be a combination of crappy acoustics and other instruments taking up each other’s sonic space. I used to do a lot of biker rally gigs, and they always rented village hall type venues, most of which were terrible for live band sound. Tall ceilings with masses of big windows and wooden floors, felt like the sound was just bouncing off every surface and was rather unpleasant
  5. Well it’s not entirely a baseless assumption. I gigged my MAG810 for several years, and have now gigged my BF Big Twin 2 for several years, and the difference is night and day. Granted, the post I was referring to was talking about a BF 6x10 but I’d be very very surprised if that cab wasn’t better than a MAG810
  6. That is very surprising. I gigged my very early ABM500 and MAG810 for for quite a few years in venues of varying sizes, and never got anywhere near 3/4 volume on the master, and I would imagine that the Barefaced 610 is far far superior to a MAG810 cab.
  7. Very nice. I went through phase of trying several Class D heads, TC RH450 & 750, Aguilar TH500, GB Shuttle 9.2, Darkglass M900 and the GK MB Fusion. I kept the GK way longer than I kept any of the others. To my (admittedly cloth) ears, GK amps have a really good core tone. I only changed it as I fancied going back to something heavyweight while I still could. Congrats on the new amp!
  8. Rival Sons at Cardiff uni on Monday. Looking forward to it. Saw them in Bristol at the o2 Academy and they were excellent
  9. My wife’s cousin had the privilege of supporting Skunk Anansie on tour a few years ago. He’’s a bassist too, and said that Cass used to watch their soundcheck search night. I remember him saying that doing his line check and the bands soundcheck with a player as high calibre as Cass Lewis watching from the side of the stage used to terrify him. He did also echo what many others have said already in this thread, that Cass is a very friendly guy who seems to have time for everyone. He also said that standing 15ft from Cass’ bass rig while listening to him soundcheck on the first night of the tour nearly made him do a sex wee! As he put it “monster player, with a monster tone”
  10. If we’re getting their looks and equipment, can I change my answer to John Taylor. That way, I’d be fighting off groupies with a sh*tty stick AND I’d own Bernard Edwards’ old Stingray! Win win! 😂
  11. My choices are a bit mainstream, but I would’ve loved Bruce Foxtons job in The Jam. So many great bass lines in those songs. My other choice would be David Lee Roths Eat ‘em and Smile tour, for the chance to play with musicians of the calibre of Steve Vai and Greg Bisonette each night
  12. No apology necessary, and same as yourself, not something I’d ever really thought I’d see.
  13. I’m not pushing the product, I have zero affiliation to the product or it’s makers. It was just a product I saw, that I’d never seen before, something I found to be a bit quirky. So I thought I’d post it here to see if anyone else had ever seen anything of the same ilk.
  14. The explanation of who the product seems to be aimed at, is up there ☝️ 😊
  15. Sounds like it would be ideal for him then
  16. In the demo clip, I think they’re aiming it at guitarists who want the guitar hanging lower if they’re bashing out chords, but can raise it up for more technical stuff
  17. I never even knew such a thing existed, or that there was even a market for it. The video clip I saw of it earlier, there’s a guy using two of them to make a swing, so it must be fairly sturdy. It does seem to be aimed more at guitarists
  18. Did that happen while using one of these gadgets??
  19. Keep seeing ads for this gadget coming up on various FB musicians groups/pages. Basically a gadget for instantly adjusting the length of your guitar strap. Who knew such a thing existed! https://dropstrap.com/collections/artists
  20. I have a cardboard box en route and have a hard case to send it in now, so UK shipping possible at buyers expense.
  21. Along with “what colour hair scrunchie works best as a mute?” 😀
  22. I certainly didn’t expect a 2.5hr set, hats off to him. Really nice to see Dave Grohl back on a stage too. Really enjoyed the set, and I just love the energy of his drummer.
  23. Nice array of cabs behind Macca!
  24. Enjoyed Skunk Anansie, Skin looks like she hasn’t aged at all! Cass Lewis’ bass rig is enormous
  25. Anyone watched TLC’s set? Is that Jamareo Artis on bass? Pretty sure the guitarist is the guy that played the live lounge with Rag n Bone man, he gets a killer tone from that Kemper!
