  1. Very tempting sir... Excellent price too.
  2. Just had a dealing with Nik yesterday, and like all the feedback says the man is a scholar and a gentleman Pleasure doing business with you my friend, won't hesitate to deal with you again! Trustworthy and true to his word. Another excellent representation of the BC community. Russ.
  3. I want this... I'm going to try and shift my Eden WT800 with Eden 4x10 and Eden 2x10 to raise the funds! Hoping I don't sell it and then you sell the mesa... Russ.
  4. might take a few weeks as I've got to fly to San Francisco to pick her up!
  5. It's getting bought... Can't wait!! Bring on the Conklin 9.
  6. Someone... anyone... It's now of the much feared eBay... Would of rather one of you chaps take her, fix her and play her! No one interested in a one off tracey? I weep...
  7. You a bad man! Tempting me with such things... but alas, as much as that's a damn reasonable price my pennies are set aside for a 9er Also... you resprayed my jazz? how very dare you! Just so you all know, even though I'm sure you know anyway... This guy is definitely a good man to deal with. Good luck with the sales matey. Russ.
  8. any offers at all? I need to raise some money so any decent offer will be accepted... it is a piece unique piece of trace history, must be worth a punt?
  9. Bump for this guy! good man to deal with and after a closer look at this bass, its a damn fine build! someone's gotta snatch it up?
  10. The 70's Gibson grabber/ripper bass had a similar thing with a movable single coil... Same kinda bass mike dirnt used on the basket case video... Though not sure if that one had an adjustable pick up.
  11. I do have a 10 string bee so I'm not unfamiliar with these beasts! And who doesn't like Pac-Man? I'm leaning towards buying... I think for a Conklin 9 string custom its a good deal. Still, more opinions will help make a decision. Thanks Guys. Russ.

  13. Hey, As my quest to downsize continues.... I must let go of my first REAL amp from 9 years ago, This trace (as I was told by the guy who sold it to me) is a little bit special. The bloke who sold it to me used to work in Trace's Maldon factory when they operated there between 1989 and 1992 before they sold themselves to Kaman. He said that when the factory closed the company gave away prototypes, one off's and things they'd built for funzies to employees of the factory, and this was the amp he walked away with... So I'm very much assuming this commando is a 1992, possibly a year or two older. It's covered in a red Vinyl/tolex material and has a Blue face (as opposed to the black and green combination we all know) When I bought it there was no trace logo on the upper left of the grill, just a gap where it should of been. The guys at PMT in Southend where nice enough to give me one they had stuck to there drum room door, its not a perfect fit but it does the job. There's a Taylor Guitars sticker on top, which obviously you can remove easily. She is in overall very good shape, I've owned her for 5 years, then leant her to a friend for 3 years, and she'd been sat around in the studio for the last year or two. In the years my friend owned her, she stopped outputting sound, all the lights fire up, but there's not even a hum from the speaker which suggests to me there's a down connection somewhere, possibly a very easy job for the right person. The speaker is in good condition, no cracks or bulges etc. So this little piece of odd ball Trace Elliot history is here up for grabs to anyone who wants to put in a few pounds or bit of time into getting the issue sorted. I've checked out the history of this little red beast and everything shapes up. A one off original from the Maldon trace elliot factory... Rare? I'm going with yes. Valuable? I'm going with probably not very... The Trace has a model number of 1001 and where it says "serial number" the box is blank, implying it is indeed a one off. So it's your 100w little piece of history for £100. Russ. 07912222127 text or PM me if interested. (If anyone can add any history to this, I'm all ears!)
  14. Hey guys, I've been offered a 9 string Conklin sidewinder custom with fanned frets and a Pac-Man inlay and Pac-Man tuners and knobs for around £2000... It's most definitely used, but in good shape. Should I buy? I'd be interested to know what people think of this... Thanks, Russ. (if this is in the wrong thread, feel free to chuck it in the right one! this one seemed most appropriate.)

  16. Basschat = new freemasons mess with one, mess with all! I'm in for this Help-a-brother-out fund if deemed appropriate by our gracious overloads.... *bows* I like the fact there's been over 120 posts all backing 73jazz up, really shows a good community of like minded people. Shame it took our man 73jazz to be metaphorically kicked in the balls to show it, but we all knew it anyway I'm guessing Sean hasn't raised his voice because he's probably dodging the 120 glares he'll get if he does (unless there's some kind of explanation. Kudos guys on everything everyone's done, we're all behind you 73jazz. Russ. x

  19. They are sweet beasts! Don't want to let her go, but the additional money to fund a 6 or 7 stringer is needed...
  20. Hey guys I had this up in my giant list of guitars for sale, but it got quite a lot of attention by itself, so I'm going to list it on its own to maximise the possibility of a sale. It's a 1979 Ibanez Roadster 800 BK in jet black, its 33 years old and has a few dings here and there but nothing major. There are 2 screw holes as you can see from where I had a midi pick-up installed. She plays beautifully and there's a ton of tone coming out of the single coil pup. Its a maple board which is in great playing condition, as are the frets, the tone pot has a very slight crackle, very slight, but is silent when playing. I love this bass, and will be very sad to see her go, but I just don't play 4 string basses any more... I'm asking £300 for her, someone needs to play her and look after her. Russ. 07912222127 if you want to discuss anything/arrange a day to come trial her.

  22. bumpy bump... still many things I need to get rid of! Trades? Cash?
  23. How much cash would it take to relieve you of these tasty beast? I don't think it would interest you but I could throw down a Spector euro 6LX in part exchange... Russ.
  24. That would be my 1st bass I had when I was 14... its a Yamaha RBX360 completely covered in stickers, head to toe, front back, fretboard, headstock, pickups everything!! the stickers ended up costing more than I paid for the bass! Looks cool though, plays like dog sh*t
