There are a number of people I have dealt with on Basschat over the years that go above and beyond to ensure the smooth running of a trade/sale. Flavius is absolutely one of these people! We arranged a deal that involved a good portion of trust from Flavius to me, his communcation is perfect and I would very much be happy to deal with him again. Do not have any worries when dealing with Flavius, I can say firmly he is a great person to do business with!

Hi all, I have a Hartke VX3500 combo (minus the head unit!) going for free is anyone wants it... I must stress it is not in good condition as was subject to A LOT of damp and as such has some mould. I don't know if it works, the head unit does which I am utilising, but I haven't tested the speakers at all. This might be useful to someone, so it's free if anyone wants it! 100% Collection Only, I'm based in Basildon, Essex. (FYI the pictures make it look better than it is!) Russ.

Banner ads are fair enough, but ones that pop up and block the screen, or follow the screen when scrolling are a step too far me thinks! I'm sure ad revenue is integral to keeping the site running, but a fair balance needs to be struck! I'm certain the lads/ladettes in charge are working on it!

Hopefully once things are sorted this won't happen as it is incredibly annoying and does indeed render site usage somewhat impossible! Fingers crossed the ads go back to normal soon!

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure the quality is well up there, the fabrication of the custom parts for the pickups and bridge etc are not cheap... but this is a Marmite bass at best, I would own it, and I'd definitely pay £1000 for it, but I'd MUCH rather own 2 (maybe even 3!) pre-owned MTD 6 strings, maybe a few Yamaha TRB6ers, perhaps even a small fleet of Warwicks or Spectors for my £7000! At least I'd have some equity in the basses... whereas with this, if you paid £7000 for it, you may have just as well flushed £6000 down the bog!

I spoke to the shop about this one a while back... They said seller is the builder and even with it being second hand the builder reckons £7000 is reasonable... madness! They tried to say it's worth the price because the body is made from an old bar top! 😂 So a free piece of discarded wood means 7k? There's barely anything out there in the custom bass world that costs more that 7k new, I just can't fathom the logic behind the price. This will simply never sell... it wouldn't sell at half the price either! Some people are dreamers.
