1.
Hi Chris, OK, cool..will do. I guess it'll be between £10 and £14 depending on which courier is used.. Do you have any preference on which company to use? Nik
Hey Nik, No, I have no idea what company is best. I only just moved back to England 4 or 5 weeks ago. I expect you'll have more experience than I do! Thanks, Chris
2. I'm very interested in this! I'm in Exeter - post code is EX4 4PF, so if you could check postage prices that would be great.
3. God, I've wanted one of those for the longest time. If only I weren't a student...
4. Very interested in the big Gator board! Is it this one? - http://www.thomann.de/gb/gator_gptpro_peda...rd_with_bag.htm
5. Beautiful MTD! Great price too.
6.
Well, I can tell you that the UK voltage has been harmonised with Europe at a nominal 230V.. Check your own area with a meter though because, in practice, voltage can vary. You should be OK though. Frank.
Great! That saves me a lot of money.
7. Hey guys, I am moving back to England in a month and I'll be bringing my amps with me - an Aguilar AG500 and an old Engl 850 guitar amp. At the moment, the Aguilar is set at either 220V or 230V, while the Engl is definitely set at 220V. So, when I move to England, am I going to have to get the power supplies adapted for the 240V, or will it be fine? Thanks, Chris
8.
Supposedly not as 'flat' as the LMII/III.
I've tried most of the cab combinations of the TC cabs at my local music store with the RH. To be completely honest, I've tried better heads. It's small, has presets and a tuner, yet it just doesn't sound amazing or special. It's fine; that is all.
9. I'm missing an Eventide PitchFactor, Devi Ever Peep and an Aguilar Agro.
10. Thanks for the replies, guys! I think you're right, it may work as a good milestone for measuring progress, but other than that I don't think I would benefit.
11. I can't believe how cheap things are on the used market in England compared to Denmark. These things go for 4 times what you're asking in Denmark, but that's the nature of the used market in DK, I guess...
12.
I don't care that you don't have a Grade 8. But how does that affect your progress in your career? What are your career aspirations as far as bass is concerned?
Oops, I made it seem like I would only be doing it so that I could show it off. What I mean is, would it help me get gigs? Let's say if I applied to position in an already pretty well established band (gigs lined up, relatively good fan base), would they hire me over another guy because of my Grade 8? Thanks.
13. Hey guys, A few years ago when I lived in England I had a bass teacher who laid a lot of emphasis on Grades. He pushed quite hard to get me to do them but I kept turning him down because I didn't think I needed them. Now that I'm older and wiser I'm wondering whether I should have taken up on the offer? More precisely I'm wondering if it actually matters. Does anyone care if I have a Grade 8, say? I want to be as practical as possible here and not waste my time (and money?) on something no one will ever want to see evidence for. Thanks, Chris
14.
This is absolutely beautiful, and I bet it sounds as good as it looks! Justin Chancellor plays a MK2 with the same wood specs as this (one of my top five rock bass tones ever!)- There have to be some other Tool fans on BC besides me drooling over this!
Indeed, it is rather tempting.
15.
Would love to have a crack at this! Are you based in the UK at all mate, or only in Denmark?
I live in Denmark, but my brother goes to uni' in England (Exeter) and I'll be moving to England in September. Here's my story - born and raised in England, moved to Denmark at age 12, I'm about to finish school and start uni' - finally I'll be escaping from the land of the dark and cold. Of course, I can always ship the little sucker to you.
16. This should be an easy question for some of you guys... Let's say I get one of these new Epifani amps and in my bedroom I have the switch set to 8 ohms but when I need more watts at a gig I switch it to 4 ohms - would I be louder or not?
17. Alright guys - I'm willing to trade again, as long as I'm getting £270 in the deal. I'm especially interested in a low pass filter!
18.
All the best man. It sounds the balls. more than the balls. but for that price its waaaaaaay out of my budget. I bought a Moog Little phatty for that.
You bought a little fatty for 450 squids? You sir, need to spill the beans.
19.
That's a good price for used Squeezer that's already in the EU, given that the value of GBP is continually dropping. It's becoming less worthwhile to try to import them from Oz, assuming you can find an Australian dealer willing to sell them to the UK (Godlyke stamped it out last year, I've only come across one Aussie dealer who's still shifting them on the quiet).
Well said, sir. Thanks for the bump. You guys may need to move fast! I have a very interested potential buyer!
20.
you sir, have PM
So do you, sir.
