1. You know you won't get away without telling us who .
2. I'm getting a Fret King Esprit in soon and can give you the low down on them..
3. Lol, i'm going to my parents on Friday night so will get some better pics .
4. You won't get the Stingray sound from it but you will get some of the vibe from it.
5. I do look forward to BGM - but It does sometimes lack in content. Personally I just like the reviews - i'd be happy if it was 80 pages of bass reviews. Interviews I do read, but don't particularly get in a sweat over. I think they do a good job with it though. The American one is just 100 pages of adverts, i don't bother with it.
6. I think it's acceptable as long as it is made clear t isn't genuine. It reminds me of people putting 'Turbo' or 'XR2i' on their crappy old 1.0 Fiestas .
7. I reckon option 3. UK is a smaller market and it's easier to send lots of the same thing.
8.
so can the ridiculous idea of me being a con artist and a twat now be dropped, and let this bass sell
Well, I didn't go that far .
9. And now we've heard both sides of the argument we can draw some better conclusions. You can see on the eBay listing that there is no mention of 'custom' at all, nor are there any images of the decal. It appears thebuyer has made assumptions upon this and posted on here with these assumptions. So on these facts, the buyer did not buy it on the grounds that it was a custom shop bass, and thus no deceit has taken place in my eyes. Of course I cannot see any personal emails or eBay messages between the 2 of them .
10. Hmm, a good price would be £250, i'd say £300 is fair though. I wouldn't pay more personally.
11. Apparently the later OLPs (MM22/32) were great, but it was too late by this point. I think it was Sterling Ball who said this..
12. Looks home made to me.. what did you pay ?
13. I believe the confusion is caused by the custom shop decal. From the pics it does look fairly apparent it was added on post factory (see scuffing to area).
14. thebeat - you may wish to contact BassManKev on here to see what his side of the story is .
15.
it's missing a string, look at the bridge.
It seems humour is lost on some people nowadays .
16. I'm horrendously picky when it comes to bands. Any who have a whiff of self-appreciation or delusions of fame I steer clear of. I've learnt it's better to wait 6 months for a good one than have your time and patience destroyed by a bunch of no hopers.
17. Why can't you plug it in ?!
18. I am liaising with Rosetti at the moment and might be able to get one for review .
19. That's a 4 string .
20. Lol, I think about 4 people ever bought one so it has to be someone we know .
21. Raising the action on a Stingray is a bit like castrating it. It loses it's top end and all the balls that make it sound so good in the first place. A bit of string buzz is all part of the fun.
22. Mighty Mite are the only licensed Fender neck replacements I believe..
23. If you were to do so - you need a goal in mind. What about the BB404 do you dislike that you feel needs to change ? They are decent basses and well made like most Yamahas.
24. Try here: http://www.fender.com/support/diagrams/pdf...0136000BPg2.pdf
25. I'll get it from him in a week or 2 and take some proper pics - then you'll have a better idea .
