1. I got a piece of jap plywood that was once owned by Paul Mcartney, or was Phil Lynott ?? Or that guy from Genesis.. Anyways its a bargain at £3000 and I will sue anyone who doubts the veracity. 9K for a bog standard P-Bass ? yuk !!
2.
I'm sure he's a brilliant luthier, and probably a lovely chap, but I'm now left - irredeemably - with an image of Victor Meldrew surrounded by unfinished work ...
Yeah, or to use a more direct phrase 'He should get out more' Dont get me started on on the awful practice of relicing........
3. Might be worth buying to hang on your wall and challenge guitard friends to show their skills with it ? Its so awesomely pointless I WANT IT !!! (More medication please nurse)
4. Not Ebay but.... http://tuscanyguitars.com/tuscany_bird_cherry.html Complete with "Professional nut job for maximum left hand comfort"
5. Cheques in the post and the divorce lawyers have been consulted "How many basses do you need ?" "One more than I have" Given that I have zero talent and fretless is just another way to play out of tune, don't be surprised if this turns up in the marketplace after a few months arsenic, you have automatic first refusal at the price I paid.
6. Ok I'm a sucker for oddities, I will start things off. 80 sovs and I will pick up so any monies saved can be distributed accordingly. C'mon people, save the Grumble from a moment of madness (and possible divorce courts), stick a higher one in !
7.
hey man nice to have another teen bassist on board it gets a little dreary with all this old people on here.
*sound of Grumble preparing LOTS of canes* Welcome to yet another NW bassist from a fellow Boltonian (I dont usually admit to that !)

Howdy!

Only listened to the first 5 tracks but I love the vocals and rythym but some of the synth parts are a bit obtrusive for my tastes. Not known for my taste so maybe thats not really a criticism Welcome to BC buddy
9. One of them 'DOH' moments, how could I forget 'A Remark You Made' - Weather Report !! Beautiful melodic bass
10. Pah, leave the sheep to their P-basses, something a little different is always welcome Of course I'm biased, this is my current love, not exactly everyones cup of
11. Colne ? God damn, they are going to have rename the site 'North West BassChat' soon Welcome from a Bolton resident
12. Bit more Pino (and a gorgeous song) The Shouting Stage
13.
if anyone is local to me (Blackburn) and is interested, we should hook up.
I'm from the same neck as Lee but strictly a bedroom player now (keep getting tempted tho). I wouldn't dare try 'hooking up' with other bass players, theres only so much force-fed humility I can take
14. Damn, misread it as Watkins and thought someone had refired that company up Mind you, some tasy stuff on that site of yours. Welcome buddy
15. Bought Lees ME-50b, good communication and swift delivery.

Hi guys
Thanks for the welcome. What's a BCer?
BassChat 'er, in plain English, a forum member Welcome Sam, you are just what I need, a teacher !! Shame I'm so far from Devon
17. Bah bloody kids, running round mucking the place up.... Welcome buddy
18. OK a bit old and folkie but give a listen to 'Banks of the Nile' by Fotheringay. Straight forward 'folk' story song about young buck leaving sweetheart to fight for king and country. Sandy Denny holds it together with her awesome voice but listen to the backing track. Guitars are playing a repetitive riff through the song while the bass has fun and plays around, at the end one of the guitars starts to solo.... and the song fades out
19.
I used to have an old shergold bass (crazy 70s thing) which was really nice but the electronics died on that.
Dead electronics ? Let me know where you dumped it and watch the Grumble do a bit of bin-diving Welcome to BC buddy
20. If this is still available at the end of the month then consider it sold to me
21.
I would still like a decent 8-string (octave pairs)
Tried a Hagstrom 8'er last week, very odd experience ! I currently have 3 basses and a fourth in bits awaiting a respray (and a few other mods) and the only thing that tempts is something unusual. Like the Hagstrom for example or possibly a Stagg EUB otherwise I am fairly content with what I have. Now FX boxes........ having a hard time resisting some of the stuff for sale here and on Fleabay On the other hand, if a Les Paul bass were to crop up or maybe a Variax at the right price......... Maybe I'm not quite as GAS free as I like to think. Come to think of it, its probably only the likely reaction of 'er indoors that keeps my hand in my pockets !
22. What price? Or link to the auction, couldnt find it on FleaBay ?
23. grumble

Hey

Welcome buddy If the Squier ticks the boxes and the Ibby works why rush to change ? GAS is a dangerous playmate, well dangerous to your wallet
24.
ol sorry I've no idea who the Denver Broncos are, I'm guessing Mecklenburg plays for them lol
No problem, I sometimes forget that not everyone regards gridiron as the finest sport on earth and the Denver Broncos the greatest team ever Karl Mecklenburg played for the Broncos for many years, its a name fondly remembered by fans. Here is your namesake
25. grumble

Hi all
