1. I used to own one identical to this... maybe even the same one? Anyway, it was a backup for my other Bassix EUB... but it was a completely different beast and I was never happy with it. Is there a piezo anywhere on it?
2.
Great song - hadn't heard it before. Lovely tone. Thanks for sharing.
Isn't it? I'm doing some recording at the mo, and I'm going to ask the engineer to make me sound just like that.
3.
I stand by what I have said in regards to the form the haggling took and what I think of it. I apologise for bringing a paraphrase of PM's into public domain. I was angry considering (Which I think everyone would agree) the price was ridiculously low as it was. His bringing the issue into the public thread presented an opportunity to me to respond, in hindsight innapropriately
Very inappropriately, I'd say...! But... we all make mistakes.

5.
Exactly. Some people find the TC amps sound very loud to them because the APM does its stuff in a way that's pleasing to their ears - I know I wouldn't because I don't like that kind of compression etc
This may - or may not explain why I didn't get on with the TC more than I did... it seemed overly compressed and saggy to my ears. Whereas the Streamliner was instant punchy SHAZAM. Of course, the next post will be to point out that that the Streamliner employs similar management technology to the TC, and I'm going to look stupid. Whatever the reason, the TC just sounded odd to me. That said, plenty of other people who heard it thought it was great.
6.
Can you believe this guy tried to haggle with me on PM? Not cheap enough for you?
I agree with Chris... this is a bad attitude for a Mod. IMO.
7.
It's just the comment led me to believe you were a little irate at my point of view. No harm intended of course!
I'm not irate - you made a point and I agreed with it.
8.
*snip* it's an interesting read for those who haven't seen the original articles *snip*
Yeah.. I thought so too.
9.
Sorry to be harsh, but i don't think it's particularly great!
Who said it was great?
10. ...and it's incredibly simple. But I love it. Bob Glaub, I believe...
11. Hi all This is probably old news, but just in case it isn't... I was looking for something and stumbled across this. I'm not sure whether it's *supposed* to be open access, but it is. And it's got a few interesting bits and bobs in it. As our cousins over the water say: enjoy!
12. Cheers! I've given it a clean, and raised the action to proper hairy-arsed-bloke's DB height, and... ...my hands hurt. It sounds lovely, though...
13. Thanks to Mr. Subaudio, this landed on my doormat this morning... ..and now the fun starts - my fingers hurt already.
14. Here's a thread from a little while back. I don't know if anyone has experience of the new models yet...
15. Hairy hands, eh?
16.
Bergantino make great products, but I still think the ceramic designs are Jim's highlights.
As a still loved-up-after-three-years owner of HS210s, I agree.
17. Ahh... if it were made back then, it might be made of the real stuff. That's different! Fingers crossed it's a good'un!
18. Lovely! Looking forward to this one. If it were mine, I'd be tempted to forget about the tort guard and go with mint instead.... I've yet to see a repro tort guard that looks right. But that's just me.
19. Is that not something you have to pay for?
20. I generally hate medleys... they just scream Jive Bunny. They cheapen the song, IMO. As an aside.. would you mind posting some youtube clips to the classic Estonian tunes you mention? I'm genuinely intrigued to hear them. Thanks!
21. ...oh, and a couple of ambient mics for the crowd, too! A band I was in did a live album once, but the ambient mics for the room didn't work. So, although the punters went mental after every song, the finished mix sounds like we're playing to a crowd of three. ha ha.
22. Champion, that! Another couple of cameras, a fixed wide shot or something, and you could do some great stuff...
23. You seem very defensive. Is he a friend of yours?
24.
No Problem with that, because it's so tiny. Hard to read.
Well, we're all different. It would bother me...
