1. Do You Know I've Had 5 MM basses over the years I still own 2 and last night I thought myself "why does this one seem to not cut it any more" Bugger me ( I worked it out,I haven't Played if for a year ) its gonna be the Battery!! it Happens to us all.........
2. just got a hold of a GP12 600w so this is surplus. any love? flight cased foot controller and speakon all included
3. Crez is right on all points, having said that I went to studio spares and got 6 boom stands for £60.00 (yes 6!!) now that's a proper deal. nowt wrong with 'em too. delivered next day. cant argue with Hercules if what you want if you want indestructible though.
4. I wouldn't bother to be honest, weak pick ups / poor output and tone will have your cranking up your amp and being generally disappointed, give it a wide birth and buy a second hand Squire Precision bass. that wont let you down and someone will most likely buy it off you her if you want to move it on
5. our singer uses a Hercules stand and an ipad holder for Lyrics, I don't tin none notices or cares. I admit if I'm depping , I make small notes that fit on one sheet of A4 and hide it as best I can. simples.
6. Always carry a spare, the one time I didn't, I needed one so, forever more......... "Failing to prepare is preparing to fail" I like that, I shall borrow it H nice one
7. MMmmmm tempted, does that mean £300 all in delivered to door? In in north west England. I tale it all is Tickety boo with Amp

9. I like the "tell it like it is" feel to this advert, wish more were this honest and up front, like this. being honest and not moving the goalposts later. I can tick all the boxes on this (and have two real Cowboy hats!! Fubar! Lol!) but Bugger I live in Rochdale.
10. while Mr D has a valid point, Chas and Dave must be as equally vivid about "The Who's" new single " Be Lucky"
11. cool, Steve- bbb I just read his biog and am genuinely sad.......( ish well you know) loss of a great and all that.we all have a bit of Jaco in us don't we? he started it , Miss him....
12. playing behined the beat is easyplaying behind the beat is easy, as is ahead of the beat, loads of players do it. the "Greats" are on it. that's what makes 'em great. you just know when you are on it, its the way it is. I don't always manage this BTW!
13. sorry BT for not being all things to all men .. were would we be without police like you? you got my point though.......sigh......thanks for the repair.
14. Jaco said "there's a lot of water where I'm going" previous to the 21st September 1987, I miss him so does Marcus M,Pino P, Mark K, Victor W and well, all of us do,god bless Jaco where would we be without you? http://youtu.be/i8q6sR6yZCE
15. "Feel" is often used as an excuse for sloppy/lazy/ cakhanded playing. (Fagedadaboudit) "feel" is being about being on it. listen to Pino Palladino. he's on it.
16.
Focus whole-heartedly on what is most important to you at the present. If that is your family - then the band is just going to have to accept that. If they make a fuss, then they are not the kind of people you want to be spending your free time with IMO. Best wishes to you and your family. It's s tough time
what happened to that "like" button? (nice sentiments and realistic comment, nice one C )
17. I used to have a GP11 500w (stereo) head, well I still do. but that was bought (2nd hand for me, by sony uk ) as That band I was in, at the time, had a record deal and toured quite a lot. It powered a 2x10 (hi pass) cab and a monster 2x18 monster. it was the biggest ,best and most powerful sound I have ever heard!! it was all flight cased too so was only ever moved around by road crew at the time, so I loved it!! when the band came to a close I ended up stuck with it, when ever I did other gigs I had to borrow a van to shift it all about, so it became impractical to keep. I sold the cases for a tidy profit kept the 2x10 hi pass cab and gave away the 2x18 cab to a young enthusiastic basschatter who came up to the north west from bath to collect it, he was very excited and couldn't believe his luck. but it was a karma thing and was happy he was so pleased ( bet he doesn't have it any more!!) it was the most monster Bass sound ever and everyone should have the opportunity to have something like that, fantastic but impractical. I love trace gear and still trawl around here for old school cabs (4x10s 1x15 ect) love that sound it dates me but what odds who doesn't still love to see that Green uv glow on a dark stage? well, I do.
18.
Pino - always been fabulous in my view - this shows his chops well - crazy Stingray sound and fretless all at once
thanks for posting that never seen it before and totally made my day/month just what the Dr ordered!!
19. Pino Palladino, on "I assassin" and "no parlez"
