1. Thanks for the congratulations. I really am chuffed to bits with it. +1 to the above comment regarding Class D heads. To me there just seems to be something missing. With regards to cost, I picked it up for £250 which was the same that I bought (and then sold) my AH600SMX for. As with any of these old trace heads, you get a hell of a lot of amp for your money. I'm still after a bit of guidance on a suitable footswitch for it though?
2.
Ah, memories. Same as my old head. Loved it, but was a beast to cart around and sold it when old age made it difficult to carry. Never had to run it at much more than half power - clean and pokey and very reliable. Enjoy it.
I certainly will. Can't wait to get over this Christmas break and get rehearsing/gigging with it.
3.
Shame. I could have been tempted by this, plus £300 to me, in exchange for my Warwick Bleached Blonde Thumb Ltd (if it's the kind of bass that appeals to you). And I would even have come over to Doncaster GLWTS, surprised it's still here to be honest.
Strangely, I'm selling to fund a Thumb NT that has just become available from a friend of a friend ( not on BC). I should be looking at it between Christmas and new year so, if anything falls through or it's not up to scratch, I may be giving you a shout 😉
4. Last day at work (and soon to be off to the pub) type Bump

6. Do any of you chaps know which model TE footswitch I'd need for this head? I've put a post in the wanted section too.
7. They are truly beasts, but at the prices they are now they're also absolute bargains. Top, top quality kit for very little money. They do weigh a fair bit (the AH600 weighs about the same as a small car) but they're worth it for the sound you get. I currently still have a GB Streamliner and great though it is, there's a definite difference between 'loudness' and 'power'. Trace has power and that's why I can't keep away from them.
8. Hi all Just had my first play (albeit quietly at home) on my new toy, a mid-nineties AH350SMX in all its grey tolex glory. I recently owned an AH600SMX that was a little newer, which was great but just didn't have the same sound as my 1993 250smx, so I've been choosing to use that all the time. This 350 is from around the same era (continuous line fascia) as the 250 and it sounds awesome. I can't wait to get it cranked up. This really is a time warp head
9. Photos as promised. Just to confirm everything works as it should including the lovely blue lights!!

13. Hi all As stated in a previous post, I have my eye on something so I'm moving some of my gear on to pay for it. Trace Elliot AH600 Gp12 SMX head. The mother of all of the Trace GP 12 heads. It's a 1999 model I believe and is in great condition. It's crazy powerful with all the features you could ever need in a head, plus a few more. For sale at the price I paid for it a few months back, plus £30 for the Roqsolid cover I purchased. A whole lot of amp for not a lot of dosh at £280. It weighs a tonne so collection or meet up only ( I'm in Doncaster). Pics to follow later.
