2. For sale or possible trade for a US Precision Hi all I may regret this but I'm looking to reduce my Stingray collection by one to make way for a Precision. I received this bass in a trade with a fellow BC'er earlier this year: 2007 3band EQ 'Off' White – nicely discolouring Maple fingerboard – again nicely ageing Schaller strap lock buttons MMHSC It really does look very retro with the white finish going distinctly yellow and the maple neck and fingerboard both darkening. This 'ray is in great condition with the only blemish of note, a chip below the bridge which can be seen (and blown up) in one of the attached photos. I have a MM hard shell case to go with it (the case is cracked in a couple of places but these are not noticeable or detrimental to the protection the case gives). It plays and sounds great but I'm sticking to a 'last in first out' policy. Rotating 3 Stingrays is fun but I'm looking to throw something different into the pot! Trade wise I'm looking for a tasty US Precision. I'm not into 'road worn' so something that has been well looked after, ideally with a maple neck, original hard case and a tone knob that does something! I'm open to taking a bass plus cash my way, but after recent spending I'm not looking to part with any cash myself. I'm based in South Yorkshire but am willing to travel to meet up for the right bass. I'm around this weekend then in Scotland from Monday, returning next Saturday. Hit me with what you have
3.
I have the combo version of this and it's all I've ever needed, we have a large church and it more than fills it, this is a bargain!
Many thanks. It is a cracking amp and extremely loud but alas, I decided to give another amp a whirl as a back up/alternative to the other Trace I use. This is built like a tank and just about as reliable as it gets.
4. Just bought a Gramma pad from Dave. Great item, well packaged and great comms. Deal with confidence ;-) Many thanks
5. And Bump..................
6.
Very true....but Patitucci would still play rings around the majority no matter what bass he played. The player is far more important than the instrument.
Very interesting thread and the above point is very true. I played for years with an Encore precision copy and various old Peavey combos. Arguably some of the best gigs I ever played and certainly the most in terms of frequency. Like most of us, when I was younger I used to lust after much of the gear that I'm now fortunate enough to have. I'm a better player than I was then and there's no doubt that the gear I have now helps me to sound a whole lot better. However, I'm the first to admit that if I'd spent as many hours practicing as I had looking at/lusting after gear I'd be a far better player than I am.
7.
Oh mate, your old blue one is going nowhere (its that damn good). I am on the hunt for an early 90's three band with the wheel & finished neck in white though.
It is rather gorgeous. I'll keep my eyes peeled for you 👀
8. We're all going on a summer holiday type BUMP ! Incoming GB Streamliner so this has got to go. Even I can't justify having 3 amps !!!
9. You have a pm 😎 Cheers
10.
The white does it for me.
If you're ever in the area and you fancied an exchange .................. You never know 😉
11.
I don't really like cherry/honey sunburst. I don't really like rosewood. The combination of both should be a no-no for me. Yet, I'm transfixed admiring your Stingray in that configuration. That is absolutely lovely!
I know what you mean. I've always been of the 'a 'Rays neck must be maple' mindset, but hand on heart the rosewood one plays the best out of the three (they all play nice, but that one just feels right) and looks wise it's just different/unusual enough to be very enticing 😉
12. Here are my 3 beauties, now on the wall
13.
Hello how much for Streamliner on its own? Thanks
Ditto ????
14. Awesome cab, just like mine 😊 GLWTS
15. .......almost forgot, it comes complete with a Roqsolid slip cover
16. Hi all For sale is my Trace 7 band 300 watt head. Purchased from a fellow BC'er last year and is for sale at the price I paid for it. It's in excellent condition, the front panel lights up with a lovely green glow and everything else works and sounds great. Green carpet covered. ## Sale only now - no trades ## Collection preferred. I'm based in South Yorkshire but I do travel to Nottingham every week. I'll also be in North Yorkshire and Scotland in August if that helps! Cheers
17. Bought a Tascam MP-BT1 from Stuart. Well packaged, fast delivery and item exactly as described. A cracking piece of kit! Deal with confidence, highly recommended ! Many thanks
18. Bump for a crackin' title 😹
19.
You already have Rays! No point replicating what you've already got
True, but every time i try something else, they just don't feel quite right (regardless of how gorgeous they are) 😕
20. That neck is gorgeous. If this was a 'Ray I think I'd have to have it. GLWTS
21. Sorry to hear you've got to move this on. My old bass. Plays like a dream, low action, comfortable, powerful and gorgeous. You will not be disappointed 😜
22. Exchange all done. The white one is now mine and very nice it is too! It looks pretty good alongside my honey and tobacco burst 'rays. Many thanks Wayne and hope you have fun with the black one, it is gorgeous and I know I'll miss it. Cheers
