Hiya all, I bought this gorgeous bass quite recently because it just looks.. well look at it, it's wonderful. Made in Japan by luthiers that cared about the end result. It is in mint condition and now sports a Kiogon loom, something I change as a matter of course these days. Other than that she is standard and plays beautifully. I hadn't noticed that it has a shiny varnished neck which I can't get used to as I seem to end up missing notes for some reason. Anyway it's up for grabs at less than I paid for it for a quick sale. It weighs around 9lbs, and it comes with a deeluxe Fender gigbag. Also has a new set of DiAddario strings too. You lucky people! Price includes postage to uk. I was 15 in 1960 and loved the music, yeah there was a lot of cheesy stuff in there but the 60's bands were the pioneers of rock and pop and you had to be there to appreciate how revolutionary it was, I was brought up as a kid in the 50's with a diet of Mario Lanza, Michael Holliday and other such notables. When young people today listen to 60's stuff out of context it can sound a bit rough but look at todays technology and what we had then and it makes a bit more sense. Songs like spencer davis and gimme some good lovin' and pinball wizard sounded amazing after mario lanza. Just my thoughts.

what's the worst thing that's happened to you onstage?
tom1946 replied to Funky Dunky's topic in General Discussion
We were playing a workingmens club in Middlesbrough in 1969 , I played 12 string guitar exclusively in those days and we were doing a fast paced song with a capo on the 6th fret and the bass of my thumb locked solid and I had to stop playing for half a minute or so. I tapped the front of my guitar and our bass player got the message (there was only me and him who played instruments, the rest were singists) so we just did acapella (sp?) until the feeling came back, the boozy crowd thought it was part of the act. Dead embarrassing though. -

NBD: Harley Benton JB-75 Vintage Series Jazz Bass

I sold mine because of the weight, I do endorse what everyone else says though, exceptional instrument for the money. There is always a catch with a cheap bass though unless you are hulk hogan or 18 -
Maybe we should open a shop together Mike? That way we could buy all our favourite basses then sell them on again? Another smooth deal with Mike, excellent comms, fast and reliable delivery, a credit to the forums! Thanks again.

Guys, my wife needs a clip on microphone for her sermons as she's very quietly spoken. I bought one off ebat for 9 quid and it's rubbish. So we want to spend a bit more and get a decent one that's well made and reliable, it will connect to a small mixer then into a roland active cube speaker. Any suggestions gratefully received thanks.

This is my other P for sale, Chris Aiken Squier in super condition. Low action, great sound from the Duncan designed pickup. No tone control on these, dunno what else to say except that it weighs 8lb 2ozs on my digital parcel scales, light and very easy to play. Hi folks, I am selling both of my Squier Precisions, first up is my VM, this is in great original condition, has a very low action. Plays like... err, well I was going to say 'like butter' but that would indicate that it's greasy and yellow, which it isn't but it does play like a much more expensive instrument. I think they are every bit as good as the CV. No gigbag but as usual will be very well packed. Looking for £200 including UK delivery. I now know exactly what I want, an American Precision in red with a maple board and rolled edges (do they all come with rolled edges?) I would just keep my mex for a backup and sell everything else. But that's just me...

Cheers for that, I think I'll have a go with EB flats because I use EB super slinky's on all my basses and I like them a lot.
-
I've never used flats, I have 2 or 3 Precisions that I use regularly so I'll fit some to see if I like them. Any recommends for a flat virgin? (Ooer missus )

"Label interest"= Send us a flash drive with your 'demo' on it, great source of free drives? could have a sideline selling them....... Sorry I'm an incorrigble cynic.
