1. In the 60's I started with an Arnold Hoyer 12 string guitar and it was a pig to learn on, could drive a bus under the strings, not good for me so moved it on.
2. Yeah, between the neck and the pickup for me, it's just the sound I like.
3. I can resist everything but temptation.
4. Also post 2012 MIM's are miles better than the earlier ones, they really rock.
5. Ok £300 posted which is a steal for this.
6.
Good point that about bi-carb. I wasn't proposing the OP scours the surface, simply to gently wipe it over. And pmjos is also right that Lemon Oil will either float across the top, like and oil-slick on water, or do damage to a lacquered finish. The look of the bear wood becoming oiled-finish will also look odd. Funny that nobody here has suggested lighter fluid. I know some folk swear by that for cleaning basses. I've not tried that, but it might lift of a load of old dirt and help a bit.
Didn't Jimi Hendrix use lighter fluid on his strat?
7. Dermand a new bass that has no problems, I certainly wouldn't accept a repair on a new bass costing what they do.
8. I have an LPB & maple and a CAR + maple, much modded now but they are fantastic! Both mine are post 2012 models and I won't ever sell them. Enjoy!
9. Hi all, I have a MIM Precision and want some better lightweight tuners for it, not really a problem I know but the Hipshot types have smaller bores where they fit through the neck, mine being around 18mm and theirs about 13mm. Anyone recommend some decent tuners please that will be a straight fit? Thanks. Tom.

11. Ha ha yes! All the best to you and yours Will.
12. I have a complete Legend P bass and the body is ply. I fitted a USA pickup, gotoh 201 bridge and fender tuners with a KiOgon loom and man it's a great sounding bass.
13. Just bought a bass from Fabian, the transaction was very smooth and it arrived in 4 days from Poland whch was excellent. The bass arrived well packed and in good condition. I would deal again with him. cheers.

Just so I have this right, one of us gives you, a newbie who doesn't even say where he's from £720 for a bass with no description or pictures? ain't gonna happen.
16.
Stunning, much nicer Antigua than the 2012 RI's. I'm £600 short, might be time to get my Candy Apple Red Am Special Precision back up. In the meantime, good luck with your sale, beautiful.
So much nicer than the 2012's... hah
17. I have 2 MIM precisions a 2012 and a 2015 and they are great. Very well put together and well setup out of the box. All I have done is fit pearl scratchplates, KiOgon looms with killswitches, and SPB-2 pickups. Wouldn't change them for the world now.
18. I have a 2004 Korean one of these in natural and they are terrific guitars, someone should snap this up. I paid over 400 quid for mine so this is a bargain.
19.
My daughter's one was over 11lb.
I just sent one back today as it was also over 11lbs I'll have to visit a shop.
20. Ok thanks for that.
21. What does it weigh please?
