  1. New dates added ... http://view.mailings.ticketmaster.co.uk/?qs=527b5b5c5ffe79aae49b3fbddb9835527ad086a3c7f8d18dd234fdd7c7fdf2eaed1466e0373e2c9a17780eab65245a0f7f90fd10b3b66139c619377879a80d8671a8d9beae56cd8abe53ba92088588fcd7450efb0eff307d
  2. I have Hamilton tickets for February 17th ... bought them a year ago ... very excited. And very nice to know who the bassist is.
  3. I'd generally agree with that. If one adopts a particular moral stance about artists and then applies that stance retrospectively, then quite quickly there won't be much acceptable art left. Meanwhile, I don't have to listen to Glitter if I don't want to and I am free to reject (or not) other artists because of their misdemeanours if I so choose. Sometimes I use Eric Gill's Gill Sans font.
  4. I was not making a comment about the money being legally his; of course the money is legally his, as the court decided. My point was about listening to Glitter by listening to Oasis.
  5. It gets complicated ... Gary Glitter may earn £1m from Oasis royalties
  6. I probably wouldn't listen to the material but I'd have to say 'Rock and Roll (Parts 1 & 2)' would feel more acceptable than 'Do You Want to Touch Me'.
  7. I've had the 208 version for a couple of years. I only use it for learning stuff with guitarist. I did upgrade the speakers to the Fane's mentioned above, which wasn't really necessary. I've had no problems with it at all.
  8. Sweetwater, Indiana...

  10. The prices are not believable.
  11. Are these new or have I not noticed before? ...
  12. Tapewounds are wound with plastic and are usually roundwound under the tape ... http://www.bassstringsonline.com/Black-Nylon-Tapewounds_ep_49-1.html
  13. So Maradona doesn't like flats?
  14. Maybe I'm imagining it, but I seem to recall reading or hearing an interview with Rainey where he says about 'Kid Charlemagne' that he himself couldn't play it entirely true to the original. Or something to that sort of effect.
  15. I was in a band where the drummer had a Porsche 911. Forunately he also had a large BMW SUV. He was very organised and could keep accurate time.
  16. It really shouldn't take long but it does depend on how much time is given to it and whether anyone does their homework.
  17. Yep, had that experience more than once ... and it wasn't just one chord that was wrong ... IMHO If someone thought my chord/arpeggio was not right I'd like to hear about it.
  18. Too complicated, I'd say.
  19. The pound shop.
  20. I find the yellow alternative both matches the bass and has a gentler tone.
  21. It's not plagiarism to quote other people, although it would be common in written work to reference the sources. And musicians, including Bowie, have been sampling and quoting each other from time immemorial. For example, The Jean Jeanie quotes from the Yardbirds version of Bo Diddley's I'm a Man. Original, insofar as it exists at all, is always built upon the work of others.
