1. TNT T&C don't seem to mention musical instruments.
 2.
If this is the case then, do most people here just send uninsured?
I do, and I think many others do too because the insurance is pointless.
 3. Read the small print, many couriers won't insure musical instruments, although they will take your money.
 4.
I reckon you'd be better off getting one of the Dan Erlewine books. G.
+1
 5.
1. Muse – 'Hysteria' 2. Rush – 'YYZ' 3. Queen – 'Another One Bites The Dust'* 4. Queen and David Bowie – 'Under Pressure'* 5. Pink Floyd – 'Money' 6. Metallica – 'Orion' 7. Michael Jackson – 'Billie Jean'* 8. Yes – 'Roundabout' 9. The Who – 'My Generation' 10. Tool – 'Schism'* * - ones I find weird!
Five of those I have never knowingly heard. I must get out more.
 6. Never heard of Great White but Hunter & Ronson I like.
 7. The G&L 2000 is a very nice bass but that's overpriced for a Tribute.
 8. That's an interesting and very useful site but there's quite a few missing but commonly used strings.
 9.
... failure was, or may have been, lager-induced ...
I've had that experience too.
 10.
Seriously? Can you find one effects pedal that claims to be waterproof?
Best I could do: http://www.altoedge.com/pedals/3-pedal-waterproof.html
 11.
Not surprised, bargain that!
Thanks, I said it was.
 12. And the number of watts claimed by the manufacturer may not be wholly accurate.
 13. I'm now in possession of the B10 mentioned earlier (the one with the fretlines and side dots between the frets). I've got to say that so far I'm loving it although I'm still trying to figure out the preamp. I've fitted a strap pin on the heel and I'm playing it horizontally. The thing I'd change is that I'd prefer if it still had no fretlines, although that's not really a problem, but, more problematically for me, I really don't like the side dots between the fretlines as if it was a defretted bass. I may have to have those dots removed and new dots at 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 etc.
 14.
Could be F for Fender.
FE11DER would be better.
 15.
I have B4SS F on retention now (as I sold my F bass last year)
Could be F for Fender.
 16.
Well ordered them Thurs, arrived in post yesterday - very good turnaround, well done Stringbusters - on my `77 Precision today. First impressions - well not used them in a band setting yet, but to me they sound like old roundwounds. Which I`m glad about, as that`s the sound I`m looking for. Problem I`ve had with rounds, is once they get old, and I have the sound I want, they`re not too far from dead, and I want to retain that nice thump for a while. Hopefully these will give me the sound I`m looking for, and I`ll never have to change `em again
Flats have a tendency to sound better as they get older ... then you'll never have to change them again.
 17. ... and having just played the A string, his finger is resting against the E string and pushing it slightly towards the edge of the fingerboard.
 18.
i wonder whether english is their first language.
They must think that a UK number plate can be used to form any anagram you like.
 19. My Lakland Decade had the two big one small setup but I changed to three big.
 20.
Anyone care to share how LaBellas compare to D'Addario Chromes?
I haven't used Chromes for quite a while but IIRC brighter sounding and not as smooth under the fingers, similar tension. The La Bellas are more thumpy, more old school sounding.
 21.
Dave, It doesn't look like I've had a 45-105 set of GHS so sorry can't help there. I've GHS Brite Flats 49-108 M3075 which have dark blue silks & GHS Black Nylon Tape Wound 50-105, 3060 have bright red. Cheerz, John
OK thanks.

 23.
HI Dave, I'll have a look at my old packets, not sure if I've had a 45 set or not. Cheerz, John
Thank you.
