Bump. Might consider other configs / makes of combo - 2x10 / 1x12 etc What you got? (I'm in Northampton area)
Not that I have one, but you could also consider just swapping/selling your cab for a wee one? That way you get to pair it with a bigger cab in the future if you want. Just a thought.

Trace Elliot V-Type 4x8 Combo *WITHDRAWN*
Jesso replied to overwater#1's topic in Amps and Cabs For Sale
Hi all, I'm soo going to regret this, but I must get some money together for other things.. I'm doing most of my work on bass trombone at the moment, and for the forseeable future, and doing plenty of professional and amateur work around the area. I'm studying with a renowned professor of bass bone, and should be studying at the RNCM or a London college next year...so all emphasis is on my bass trombone work. I'm looking at purchasing a different bass trom anyway, that would work better for me, namely a dual bore Edwards B454 or a DB Rath R9 bass. I need to free up some money now anyway, and as I use my AH400SMX head with Peavey 2x10 cab all the time now, and also have a 4x10 and 1x15, the V-type combo isn't getting the use it deserves. I really could do with the money thats tied up in it, as it is vital to go towards the price of a new bass trombone.. by buying this, you'd be helping me so much, I hate to say it, as I love this combo! It's in awesome condition anyway, plays superbly, really sounds very very special! The pre amp is sublime, and the speakers are very precise, and have a great tone! Rated at 290W, probably puts out some more than that to be honest!! I can add pictures, and talk about more details if anyone is interested. I'm looking for £350, with pickup in Blackpool area. I could do with every penny, with a new Edwards bass bone retailing at £4250 now!!! I seem to remember, this is what it cost me, and would look into postage if someone is very interested! Like I say, I hate to have to put this up for sale, but needs must unfortunately!! Sorry Merton!! I'd love to keep hold of it, hope you can see my reasons. I'll add more details soonish, and edit this thread as time goes on... If anyones interested anyway, please get in touch! Thanks very much! Best wishes, Matt p.s I reserve the right to remove from sale at any time!
Is this a full valve combo dude? -

This thread needs more pics. Just updated my rig... here are the before and after pics. Got rid of the Jeff Berlin in favour of a 2nd 102HF and a seperate LM2. Use the ampeg in smaller rooms, it sounds better. The markbass cabs are fantastic. Specially the 2 of em together. Lots of poke, light and versatile.
sorry - sold ages ago. I did change the title, so many apologies. I actually regretted selling, adn have just bought another one lol
Thanks! Im just about to buy one.... do you reckon I should hold on for a 2nd hand one? I shouldnt think they come up too often. My local markbass stockist has given me a price of 870 euros, which seem steep, but also aint that far off the going rate it seems.... these little cabs are getting expensive! I actually already have one, and really like it. They are also doing a new LM2 aniversary edition for €700, and p\x'ing my Jeff Berlin Combo. Theyve offered me €770 for the Jeff Berlin.... so basically I would be swapping the Berlin and €800 for a new 102HF and LM2. Whatcha reckon? Jesse
I agree with the above (Garcia) just add another 8Ohm cab for more volume (parallel with another 8Ohm & sel.switch on 4Ohm).. however, though made in usa by 'Crate' I believe (is that good?) & not 'Chinese' (is that bad?) .. I still think this amp is not what you're really looking for Jesse .. I've heard they are rubbish !! So I think you should get rid whilst someone naive like me really wants (to try) one ... so sell it to me !! lol (actually haven't heard a bad thing about 'm) Enjoy it .. I'm guessing it likes to be cranked ! Si ps. was really looking forward to 'cranking' that myself !
Thanks Si, I'll put it to good use! I've actually lent out my 2nd cab to a mate, so I can't try it at 4 ohms yet. If I'm disapointed, I'll be in touch don't worry!
Valve amps put the same load out regardless of impedance I'm afraid, so it won't be any louder at 4 ohms. If you're running more cabs to get it down to 4 then it will still sound bigger anyway though.
Its not the vintage version, but heres a pic anyway! I know it won't be putting out any more watts at 4 ohms, but like you say it should sound "bigger", especially since im just running it through a markbass 102HF at the moment. Sounds fantastic, but only for smaller gigs me thinks.
He doesn't indeed. For some reason Markbass forgot that when they made the first ones.
Hi here are a few photos I took of the Jeff Berlin last night. All working perfectly. Its a great combo. Looking for €850 which is £754 plus postage. Thanks!
It does sound amazing alright. I just gave it a spin tonight. I will keep it for sure if no-one is biting my hand off!
Ok folks, sorry about this, but I'm holding on to this badboy. It just sounds too nice. I'd kind of forgotten how it sounded. Used it for band practice last night. Plus I still have to try it at 4 ohms, which should make it quite a bit louder. I'll sell something else instead, probably my minimark. Thanks everyone!

Jesso replied to 6stringbassist's topic in Amps and Cabs For Sale
I don't even have this yet, I'm not collecting it until this evening. I was looking forward to using it as a lightweight alternative to my racked Epifani head, but there are a couple of items that I'm desperate to buy, one being a Sei 5 string jazz and I still want another Epifani 3x10, having had my chance to buy Old horse Murphies scupperred by the need to pay for a new gearbox for my car. Anyway, I'm told that it's in excellent condition and comes with an aluminium case. Photos to follow later this evening. I'm open to sensible offers around the £400 mark, plus shipping etc.
Hi, It's second hand I presume? I'm looking at buying a new one over here in Dublin for €700, so I might be interested! Many thanks, Jesse -
SOLD: Epifani UL310 Cab- Immaculate.SOLD
Jesso replied to Old Horse Murphy's topic in Amps and Cabs For Sale
Another Epifani Clarky- a 212. If I could keep both, I would. This is a seriously good cab Thanks for your glowing endorsement BTW
Do you prefer the 212? I'd be interested but im in Dublin Ireland probly too expensive/too much hassle to post it. Im in the middle of selling off some markbass (jeff Berlin) and ampeg (V4BH) stuff, was gunna replace it with either an epifani UL310, a second markbass 210HF, or maybe a markbass 410 of some description. -
