  1. I have a signed Swr promo picture of Ready Freddy Washington, when he did a bass clinic in Birmingham for the Bass Centre. If i remember, it was whilst he was a day off whilst playing bass for Michael Jackson dangerous european on tour. I also have a Doug Wimbish signed Trace elliott promo picture from a Bass clinic he did in Birmingham & over the years i've got very friendly wth him, i also have a photo of him & myself after his last Trace clinic visit at Sound Control. Was given his signature plectrum by Yngwie Malmsteen himself after a gig in '88 on the Odyssey tour with Joe Lynn Turner singing, was lucky enough to chat to them before & after the gig, as a friends band was the support act at the Birmingham gig.
  2. Wow !!! They look rather fetching in white, could be the start of a new trend. Very impressive build job there.
  3. Have to tell you about what recently happened to me. Being a massive Kings x fan, i went to see them in January on their recent uk tour, their first gig in the midlands for almost 5yrs. After the gig they stayed behind to chat & sign autographs, i was there with a guitarist friend. Anyway we wait in the queue, i get to him & was speechless just saying "Hello Doug hows it going, can you sign my ticket" , Where as my guitarist friend strikes up a 5 minute conversation with him, shakes his hand & has a picture taken. Walking back to the car i was silently gutted, in fact i'm still gutted now
  4. Can't fail to be heard with a rig like that. Looks superb & sounds superb, no doubt.
  5. A Big get your strings for the weekend Bump !!!! Buy today, get them in time for your weekend gig. Only £15.50 a set posted or 2 sets for £30 posted. A Bargain or What ????
  6. I must confess, i was septical !! about the woolly ashdown sound, until about 2yrs ago, when i was in bristol demoing an Swr goliath jr 2x10 cab & the guy brings out his ashdown evo 500 amp. It was set flat & to be honest it sounded meaty, just enough of mids for me & a very clear top end too, which was a total surprise to me. Anyway to cut a long story short, i brought his cab off him & i now also own an evo 500rc head too !!. Sounds fantastic running 2 x Swr goliath jr cabs too !!!.
  7. Bump !! And a don't forget i'm still looking to trade for the right guage set too !!!!
  8. Don't do it, you sir have an excellent rig right there. I myself have had a rig very similar & was very happy with the sounds produced for a number of years. If this go as a whole rig, it'll be suitable for all types of music.
  9. Wow !!! NAS, now that is the best looking Overwater ever. If only i wasn't financially embarrased.
  10. In my mock David Dickinson voice "Now thats what i call a real deal"
  11. Wow !!! what a beast of an amp. How on earth are you going to replace this, unless you're downsizing. Unfortunately, i'm only playing smaller venues now so my SWR SM400s caters for most of my needs these days. Good luck with the sale.
  12. Steve brought some strings from me & paid when he said it would, easy transaction. Cheers B
  13. Wow !!! What a lovely looking bass, i've always gassed for a streamer stage II 4 or a 5 & this is a lovely example. Unfortunately, i'm finacially embarrased .
  14. Just noticed this thread. Very sad indeed.
  15. When i do use one mainly for recording or the fast songs live with repetitive lines i prefer the peavey black mediums, otherwise its the dunlop tortex orange .60mm's.
