The Boss is very mint indeed and was bought for headphone practice as the MP3 plugs into the back. Includes a whole host of good quality effects and a Wah/Volume pedal. Sturdily made too. £100 with box and manual. Plus P&P The MXR is a great unit with 3 band EQ, D.I. and distortion that varies from a gentle crunch upwards. The Rebel Head pedal now does it all. £80 with box and manual, plus P&P

Passive would be light years away It could be done no doubt. But I would say why bother as you can make it sound a whole lot of different things including 'old school'. It does dub to zing very well.

Trans cream ash body and maple neck. Sadowsky like quality for what I paid, £450 plus P&P. Tonal heaven with Bass Culture pups. I owned this bass for a couple of weeks and it is indeed awesome. It converted me from 4 to 5 string as no other bass has managed to do, although I was at last ready for it. I've only one further thing to say, buy it! Peter
