2. I know I submitted this ad last week as I copied it elsewhere. Now it's nowhere to be found?? If I've contravened any etiquette can someone please tell me before they delete it Anyway..... As I explained in my Godin sale thread (http://basschat.co.u..._1#entry2458157) my lady and I are setting up a new home together. She probably isn't quite aware (10 out of 12 though) of the full extent of my bass collection Given unlimited space and money I wouldn't be selling any of them but needs must. So I'm putting my Fender Marcus Miller 4 up for sale too. It's the CIJ model which is apparently sought after since production switched to Mexico. It's fitted with a John East Marcus Miller Retro on the new plate. I'll also include the original pre for those that like the bass totally original but the improvement with the East product is remarkable. It's otherwise standard and has one very small 'ding', at the rear of the body on the lower contour where's it's not visible when playing. It looks like a belt buckle mark (it wasn't me) It's a fine bass, it's in Kendal in the Lakes and viewing is absolutely okay. £700 plus courier fees if delivered. Lots of photo's:

5. I'm looking at moving house, combining homes with my lady. 12 basses (plus 2 motorcycles, 5 cycles and various other toys) just ain't going to fit and I'm not even in a band at the moment so several basses will have to go. The Godin is just about mint, no dings that I can find. It plays and sounds just as good as it looks. Specs are: Shifter Classic 4 Bass The Shifter Classic 4 further expands the popular Shifter series of basses, bringing to the line a classic PJ pickup configuration. This 4-string bass features a solid Canadian Laurentian basswood body, a rock maple neck with rosewood or maple fingerboard options and a double-function bridge to either string through the body or the bridge. Electronics include a set of Godin Passive PJ pickups controlled by 1x volume, 1x tone and 4-way selector switch. 6. Stunning. Marcus Miller CIJ with MM Retro or Grover P/J of any interest? Peter
7. Pete, I can't pm on my phone for some reason. I am the numpty. I would have liked to have put this in my 90 NT thumb myself but with it being 4 knob I decided to sell it. But, the passive tone is just an add on wired into the pup inputs. So I can use it in my thumb and get sweepable mids! Your post made me realise the obvious and I'll need to cancel the sale and keep it. Humble apologies. Peter
8.
Sorry bud been unwell for a few weeks and all work has had to come to a halt for now. I hope to be back in the saddle soon though. I made up a complete set of utile/mahogany pickup covers and surrounds before I had to take time off. I might be able to get some pics up soon.
Here's hoping your soon sorted Rich

10. I've just taken this East U retro out of my ACG Salace (having replaced it with an East made ACG filter pre). It has a non switchable passive tone fitted so it's not strictly speaking a U Retro Deluxe but it's part way there (the Deluxe has active/passive switching on the passive tone control). I've decided to re-use the knobs in the photo and I've re-priced the pre to reflect this. It is 3 EQ with a treble boost and sweepable mids, a very worthwhile feature imo.
BASS & TREBLE (The middle knob stack) TREBLE (+12dB @ 3 kHz, -12dB @ 1kHz) The upper knob is the Treble control with boost and cut. I'm looking for £95 plus £5 delivered to the UK Peter
11. Lovely LP there, what does it balance like? Peter
12. Hmmm... Buy an ACG with an acrylicised (sp) fingerboard then you aren't limited to certain more stable woods and maple won't get quickly grubby. Tone differences? marginal at best in my opinion. Wenge is nice. Balsa anyone? How about this one though? 13. I sold this pedal some months ago. It never arrived and I refunded the buyer. I walked into the local post office a few weeks ago and I was handed the pedal sans stamps. They claimed I left it but I know I paid postage. I mean why wouldn't I So it's up for grabs again. Bargain price of £75 posted to UK addresses. Condition as new and a great pedal. 14. Michael sent me the Roscoe Beck scratch plate that he still had, gratis. What a star
15. At the recent Moffat Bass Bash I was really keen to try one bass more than any other. The Mike Lull with the retro engineered 60's Thunderbird pickups. To be specific a Jeff Ament Sgnature model: I have to say, the construction and playability were everything I'd hoped for although I'd rather have these pups in a P or J body. I played the bass passively and listened to Matt playing it against his EB2014 and I'd have to say that in my opinion the EB2014 won the audio test. So that's GAS relief. Peter
16.
I thought I could use a bit of the odd morning sunshine
Lovely
17. I had an absolutely amazing weekend for many reasons, the Bass Bash being central to them all. Anita was really keen to come along and she had heard all about it well before the event. So for me it was a welcome weekend away in a town I've grown ever so fond of with a lady likewise. Well, she had a great time, I had a great time and we had a great time too I'd like to thank Alan, Lihnnie (I always get the spelling wrong I suspect) Dave, Shaun, Sandy and all old friends and new for a great time. I even emerged on Sunday without a hangover which with my lack of tolerance for alcohol was an absolute winner. Sadly with my band life being a pathetic series of failures the Basseokey seems to be my annual gig! So thanks for the opportunity to do two songs. Was it just me or did the ACG's all sound great with the band? I didn't take so many photo's this year but I'll put a couple up. Bass wise, highlights for me were probably my own ACG Finn which might seem a little unusual but believe me that IS a success It was the first time it's breathed in anger. I suspect that Anita and I will be back to Moffat this year on the bike as it's a great area for motorcycling. We did keep off the motorway in Scotland as it was and explored some nice detours. Here we go: Paul S playing my Finn whilst praying to Dave's Foundation 212 cab. I've had 6 good Mex's now. Even though I love 'em I can still sell them on. That's because I'm fickle Oh, and the description is wrong, the nut width is 38mm jazz.
