2. I bought a s/h amplug a few weeks back and its great for what it is. Wouldn't pay full price for one though.
  3. Such a shame you've got to sell it,what a beauty. You must be gutted,I would be if it were mine. Good luck with the sale. Hope you get a result as quickly as the price police got to you
  4.
Thats a horrific asking price. They're less than a quarter of that price usually.
Oh really. I must keep an eye out. If thats the case then its a lot of bass for not a lot of money.
  5.
Hey guys, I've got a valve amp which needs a general check-up along with new tubes and fixing some loose connections. Any recommendations for shops or people in the Guildford area who can do this kind of work well, without ripping me off? Obviously there's Anderton's, but to be honest I really don't want to have to deal with them. I've found them to be slow and expensive in the past. Thanks, Chris
http://www.stevesamps.co.uk/ Look this guy up and he's more local than a local thing found locally.
  6.
Hey I've recently just picked up an Ashdown Little Giant 1000 and i've noticed that the speaker connections at the rear are Speakon type. Im really hoping to use it with an Ampeg 8x10 at rehearsal tonight and was wondering if I would need to have a Speakon - Speakon or Speakon - Jack cable? Anyone got any ideas? Cheers Chris
Ever thought of googling ampeg 8x10? If you did you would see it has both. Simples Bloody youth of today,I don't know.

Met with Hedi Sunday morning. All respect to the guy,he'd been gigging Saturday night and answered his phone promptly Sunday morning at 9.00am when I called to say I was on my way. Met up ,done the deal and was on my way all nice and prompt. Nice chap studying at the Guildhall,Iwish him all the very best with his career.
  8.
Hey guys Ive finally brought my new bass home but as space is a bit of an issue and dont fancy my clumsy girlfriend putting her foot through it I need a stand for it. Can anyone reccomend one? I dont want to spend too much but then again I dont want a cheap and nasty one either so any advice is much appreciated! cheers stu
Would I be correct in assuming she doesn't look on here. Anyway I thought she'd been promoted from girlfriend? Glad you got your bass anyway.
  9. What are we gonna do now. Well done Kev. Bet the new owners a happy bunny.
  10. There was a couple on ebay. Don't know if there done.
  11. Musicmaster has a slab type body and the pickup is a telecaster pup. Mustang has a scalloped out back so its more comfortable. The neck on my Mustang feels marginally wider than the Musicmaster. They both give lovely tone, the Mustang similar to the P bass. I know bugger all about the Bronco. Mine are both '77/8. Mustangs are more expensive, they have a better bridge and through body stringing.
  12. Hello and welcome David. I was down in Hanwell today at a rather good guitar shop tucked away in the back streets. I'm just up the road in South Harrow where we have a couple of locals doing open mic nights. I can put you on to an excellent teacher up in Carpenders Park if your interested. Pm for a phone number if you want more info. Enjoy the site
  13. My wife says I can look but not touch. Seriously its a lovely looking bass and if I wasn't overspent I would love to have it. Its probably waiting for its Mr Right to come along. I would add that if it were mine I wouldn't let it go at that price unless I were desperate. If I were you I'd take it off the market for a few weeks then have another go at selling when possibly theres a bit more money floating around. Theres been nothing that good looking on ebay for that price. Good luck with whatever you do.
  14.
£1000 Davo
Too cheap. I'd have thought 1500 in that condition but what do I know.
  15. Look at www.ampmaker.com I got a little FenderFrontman its got a 8" speakerabout 10w in good nick £25 if your interested.
  16. There are plenty of leather workers in this country will make you a strap to your design and size. If you cant find any one pm me and I can put you on to some one local to me who can do you a nice custom job for not a shed load of dosh. You can even have it engraved with lots of pretty designs as well. Come to that you could make one for yourself if you wanted quite a plain design. If you wanted to decorate it,its not to hard to do either.
  17.
I hope he doesnt do what 'jimmypreston' ended up doing. Life is far too short and too precious to be messed about with. He very clearly needs help. No point in retribution, I think he is in far greater trouble now.
I actually feel sorry for the geezer. What he did wasn't right but his head had to be in a mess for him to do what he has apparently done. Still there's nowt as queer as folk.

Apologies to all those who have expressed an interest. Best wishes Gareth
Well done. If you had sold it I'm sure you would have regretted it.Is allyou need to do now is fall back in love.Have you considered Relate
