1. Really enjoyed listening to that. By the time I get seven years under my belt I'll be 62.If I get any where near to that standard I'd be happy. Bloody well done.
2. So sorry to read about your loss. I've had my van broken into on three occasions and stuff (tools etc)stolen. These people are wothless pieces of sh*t. Apart from the hassle and inconvenience of the theft it makes you feel absolutely awful emotionally. I do hope you get over it ok.
3. bump for the weekend. Now i'm willing to throw in some serious ale Thwaites Double Century,Bombadier and Wainright. One bottle of each as I've given up the ale since January due to weight problems. My doctor suggestad I get a pet to help .I thought she was talking about a dog to take walks but she said a tapeworm would work better.
4. As a beginner18months ago I got a Tanglewood acoustic bass for those very same reasons but found it more dificult to learn on because of the depth of the body. Just athought and something to think about. Try before you buy if you can.
5. Its really hot and the amps still for sale. Nice cold milk shake any one? Banana or strawberry on offer at the mo or choccy could be arranged.
6. Still for sale.
7. Saw Bireli last year at the Queen Elizabeth Hall. The guy plays as though he were just breathing,no drama no sweat,no effort.Makes everthing look so easy. True craftsman. Don't it make yer sick.
8. Saw them in London in the early seventies.Very strange but mesmerising sound as I remember. Used to have one of their early albums but sold it about twenty years ago due to skintness
9. THIS IS THE PLACE THE RATS COME TO DIE
10. Just recieved some shiny new tuners from Rich.Sent him cheque he sent tuners dealdone nice and prompt. Cheers pal Nice one Paul
11. Sorted the spacers so I can now get a nice snug fit but I still would like to know what the shortened bridge to pup distance will do to the tone.
12. He nicked the Werthers paid £300 for something really posh and gave me my amp back. Bassets all sorts anyone? You could say I'm putting the Bass into Bassetts. Any one seen my coat? .
13. I have a 20 something year old Korean P type bass and I've recently acquired a Spector 24 fret neck which I'm intending putting on the P body. The original neck has only 22 frets which means that I either have to cut a deeper pocket or move the bridge. If I move the bridge,(which is an easier option and one that I prefer to do) which is being replaced with a Badass any way, what difference to the tone am I likely to hear. Also the Spector neck is about 1/8 -3/16 of an inch narrower so I'm going to have to make and fit some spacers. Any comments and advice would be gratefully recieved.

Popped over to see Paul (aka NancyJ) yesterday Mon. Paid for some bits from him ages ago and just had the oppochancity to go aqnd collect them.Made to feel very welcome with a nice cup o tea and felt we could have carried on chatting for ages. What a nice chap. Any way I've now got enough stuff to put together a couple of nice guitars if all goes to plan. Thanks very much paul and it was a pleasure meeting you and your wife. All the best Paul

17.
Does anyone know of a forum, or sub-forum which is intended for the discussion of Burns basses/guitars? Geoff
I've got a 1966 Baldwin/Burns semi acoustic. 30" scale. Needs a bit of work on the electrics. Shall we start our own forum ?
18. Mars bar gone but other blandishments of confectionary may be offered. Werthers originals anybody?
19. I remember the good old days, ships were wood men were men and the women were glad of it.

21.
Sounds like a bargain to me! Pity I'm back to guitar now..... ....ave a bump anyway......
, I reckon its a bargain, seen these go for £60+ on ebay. Seeing as its Easter I'll throw in a pack of HOT CROSS BUNSas well, what a deal.
22. Sounds like a really useful piece of kit. Could I record from a mic onto it and then use it for training, like if I got my teacher to lay down some guitar tracks then I could play my bass to it?
23. It feels awfully lonely just sitting there not being used. Like one of those dogs in the dogs home waiting for a new owner.
24. If I sell this through Bass Chat I can make a donation to our favourite bass forum.
