1. I've already got a working title: "Krapp's Last Tapeworm".
2.
So you're retired too, huh..?
Frayed knot! As it's my day off I'm just looking for excuses not to have to weed the Lonicera, plant a clematis, clean dog poo from the lawn (and usually off the raised beds, the little scamps) and rake out the old cement mortar in the back wall ready to replace with lime. It's driving me round the bend!
3.
This, too, is true.
Perhaps being billed as "Leonard Smalls' No. 2" didn't help... And where's the next photo? I could have written, recorded and produced yet another smash hit by now!
4. Well done Skol (and all who contributed!); just make sure this month's piccy allows me to channel my inner Nick Drake And strangely, my odd non-entry compo got 60odd listens, and the better one only got 39! Perhaps 21 of those who endured the 1st one thought "I'm not listening to any more of eejit's self indulgent sh&*e!"
5. Lee Nelson blew Kanye off the stage... Kanye's problem is that he thinks he has the force of personality and the talent to carry off being solo on stage with just a gigawatt of lights to keep him company. However, no amount of gesturing and posturing was going to disguise his poor and tuneless vocals. And by that I don't mean just his attempts at "singing" but his shouts sounded much more petulant than authoritative. If he'd had a band he could at least have played off them a bit. Perhaps if he'd taken more notice of the Parliamentarians last night who absolutely smashed it instead of just being an arrogant £%*@ he'd have appealed to more than just a few fanbois. After all, he's got some good songs...
6. I hadn't really intended for my no.1 to be entered this month - was meant as an interlude of bizarre-itude! But now it's there it might as well stay. I have high hopes that it will feature in the next Richard Curtis RomCom as the love theme...
7. Cheers Douglas - great reviews as ever... And I see a slight softening toward freeform funky stylings, or tuneless racket as others might call it!
8. I occasionally have a spare just in case I break a string...
9. Here's the drum'n'bass part of the beat combo...
10.
Aaah..! A 'Lenny' track with a key..! Refreshing, unexpected, almost a shock..! Still, has animal content, so tradition is respected. Raunchy stuff; I even tapped my toe. I liked the cowbell.
Ta! And it's not a cowbell, it's a dugong bell...
11. I've decided not to subject y'all to my "singing" this month... However, I was fiddling about (as you do) and discovered a whale noise. As the piccy had some large mouths in it I felt it would be rude not to do something to help those noble creatures. After all, there's nowt a whale likes better than a guitar that sounds a bit like one of his mates with a funky backing. I give you "Say 'Aaah'" http://soundcloud.com/dredd-and-the-badass-weed/say-aaah
12.
13. Rare appearance by Dredd and the Badass Weeds, featuring members of Utah Saints, New Fast Automatic Daffodils, Cassandra Complex, Snapdragons ad Barf Roco on 25th July at the Frog and Parrot, Sheffield at 6.45pm as part of the Tramlines festival. Expect funk, dub and rock!
14. 11... As I only ever learned to read via the piano (gave up more than 35 years ago!) I couldn't read any clefs other than bass and treble. Haven't read music since, apart from my recent foray into Pictures at an Exhibition!
15. Don't know if it's just what I produce that causes it, but I keep getting likes from strange folks with no music under their profile, just an address like LovelyLorelei99456.com... Weird music lovers or just dodgy? Needless to say I haven't clicked on the links (honest!)
16.
Pack 'em in, Len, pack 'em in. The more the merrier. Careful with that 'key' stuff, though, or you'll get taken for a serious musician.
Not much danger of that, the serious bit especially...
17.
What..? That's not dissonant enough..?
Now let me stress that this probably isn't my entry to this month's compo, but it was inspired by the piccy! https://soundcloud.com/dredd-and-the-badass-weed/its-not-me-its-you I've got another one on the go as well which is actually in a key! In fact, it's in more than one key and it's got a rockin' interlude...
18. There's never an excuse for bagpipes.
19.
Here we go then, folks, try this for size... Pachelbel Passion ... Enjoy.
Particularly like the Henry Threadgill style bass horns! I'll bet your compo next month will be dissonant and/or modal jazz...
20. I've done something which may appal everyone... Myself included! Now do I dare upload it, and perhaps do a slightly more accessible one as well?
21. Excellent stuff from al, yet again! Let's hope the next pic is something chaotic so I can do some noisecore or free improv...
22.

OK, to the one with the most donkeys in it...
23. Perhaps all un-cast votes should be allocated to the song that has the dubbiest feel...
