  1. One Swan 3U flightcase only used a few times and still in almost perfect condition. Usual bomb-proof construction in aluminium and ply with rack ears for standard M6 rack screws Internal depth between the two sets of rack ears is 40cm Approximate total size of the case is 50cms deep x 51cms wide x 20cms high There are about 3cms depth inside each lid to allow for switches, knobs and buttons on any installed equipment. Postage at cost, or come and pick it up. It weighs 7.8 kg so I'm anticipating it might cost £12-15 to courier.
  2. Just bought Chris' Sansamp RPM. Like everyone else, found him a dead easy guy to deal with and the Sansamp arrived safely via 24hr courier - can't say fairer than that!
  3. This is a small belt-mounted preamp with the very high input impedance that you need to correctly match piezo pickups Battery powered, one input jack, one output jack - just plug and play. As new condition. Postage included in the price Size is 5.5cms wide, 3.5cms deep (plus belt clip) and 11cms high (including the gain control)
  4. Posting this here in case anyone is looking for a PA amp, although it will knock out 700W into 8 ohms mono bridged as an instrument amp. Hugely versatile 1U rackmount Class D design only 25cm deep, lots of inputs (see photos) output to speakers from speakon or binding posts Brand new, tested working, but never used in anger. Courier would be about £15
  5. Having worked in broadcast for many years I can confirm that the difference between 'live' sound and 'broadcast' sound are huge. The bigger TV shows use two different mixers and sound operators to achieve a decent result in each case. Obviously most people streaming these days don't have anything like that luxury, so it comes down to whether your sound desk is flexible enough to produce two different feeds and how those are monitored. If you want to know whether the problem is in the feed, or in the way that it is being streamed then it should be possible to record the sound feed to the streaming device at source - ie a split off the feed as it leaves the mixer and goes to the streaming device. is the bass audible in that recording? If not, the problem is with the mix. If the bass is ok at that point then the streaming device/software/interface is causing the bass roll-off. The fix in either case will be different - and may of course be impossible without spending a lot of money. Good luck!
  6. One of those useful pedals which are often hard to find. I used it to switch between basses, routing to an amp with a single input, but no longer need it. Operation is completely passive, so although there is an internal battery it is only there to light a Red or Yellow LED to show which input you are using Missing one screw on the case, but otherwise just minor road-wear postage included in the price
  7. Excellent condition, fully working, no velcro as its never been used on a pedalboard. Price includes postage
  8. Bought an Empress Compressor unit from Jacek - nice simple transaction with the unit arriving carefully packaged and in tip-top condition. I would recommend him to anyone considering a trade, sale or purchase.
  9. Crown have a reputation for really solid reliable amplifiers and this rack-mount amp will deliver 600W (RMS) into an 8 ohm loudspeaker system. Can also be used for stereo PA, 300W per channel into 4 ohms Obviously needs a preamp for use with a bass Balanced XLR inputs from a mixer if using for PA Short-circuit protected, soft switch-on, clip indicators, Weighs 10.4kg If you need a Speakon adaptor cable to use for bridged mono I can supply one, or you can pick up the bridge speaker feed from the binding posts Some marks to the rack ears at the back of the amp, but otherwise in good condition - please see photos I'll courier at cost if necessary, or arrange pickup if you can get to NW London
  10. Momentary action footswitch from Zoom Standard jack socket to connect Postage included. £10 if you want to come and pick it up from Uxbridge
  11. +1 for anything made by TC Helicon. Its good gear and it just works.
  12. One Ibanez gig bag. Intended for a headless bass (EHB1500) so not a great deal of length - 104cms internal as accurately as I can measure. 39cms width internally. Pockets on the front as per photo and straps on the back. Also doubles as a cat mattress. Uk Postage included in the price.
  13. Excellent bass for a remarkably low price. This has had one modification, the strap pin has been moved up to the horn, apart from that as per factory spec: Controls are: pickup selector switch, Volume for each p/u and tone control. All tuners, controls and pickups functioning fine. Only reason that I'm selling is that I've just bought a Guild Starfire, so don't need this bass as well I'll courier if necessary, at cost. Otherwise pickup from Uxbridge, NW London.
  14. I'm out. After managing to hold off for a few weeks, I have caved in and purchased the rather nice Guild Starfire that has been sitting in the 'Basses for Sale' section. I'm still one up for the year however since two basses have gone out the door. Now, Please can someone invest in my 16 channel soundcraft mixer, or my Furch dreadnought and I'll be able to tell the family that I'm financially quits for the month? Otherwise I may have to lie...
  15. When it comes to equipment, cables, connectors etc: If it advertises itself as 'Professional' it almost certainly isn't.
  16. Ah, me making a naff assumption again... I didn't realise it was a wall wart and thought that it had a separate plug. Doh!
  17. I would just cut off the EU plug and replace it with a Uk 13A version - 3A fuse inside. Only needs a screwdriver and a pair of cutters.
  18. Went to the first date of Cara Dillon's tour at Kings Place in London. Sam Lakeman gave a big 'Thanks' to Edwin Ireland on Bass, who had first met the rest of the band only that afternoon and 'hasn't missed a note'.
  19. Back in the day each active speaker needed two Oompa Loompas, they operated in Class B push-pull mode...
  20. Hi, I'm interested in a Guild Starfire, but I have to sell an acoustic first. I don't suppose you'd consider a trade? thanks Nick
  21. No, I just meant check that you have a good earth running from your amp to your bass. But to be honest, on consideration, its a daft remark by me! (Based on a memory of old American gear that used a cheap auto-transformer to drop the 230v to 110v) So please ignore. I'll go and have a nap...
  22. If you have a multimeter worth checking earth continuity from amp to bass through the fx unit. The step-down unit is double-insulated, which is fine, but obvs it doesn't provide an earth.
