I got hit by this new eBay diktat too, but as acidbass says, there are ways around, the trouble is you have to remember to implement them when you’re doing the listing, rather than when the sale is made. Yet more mind-numbing admin, just so eBay can improve their margins…

Not sure if any of this helps… If I’ve understood this right, you’ve got a 4 ohm cab and an 8 ohm cab running off the two speaker sockets on the back of the amp. Theory says that the load on the amp is nominally 2.7 ohms*. According to the amp spec it will, if pushed, knock out 1200 watts rms into that load. Because the speakers have different ratings and impedance the 4 ohm (115) cab will get twice the power - which could be 800w. The 112 cab could be getting 400w So, in theory you could be overloading the cabs if you’re playing with a lot of ‘attack’ - the instantaneous power being greater than rms. Practically speaking, it’s possible that some part of the speaker/amp chain was overheating when indoors - there could be up to 20A running through the speakers If you can, it might be worth trying out two cabs with 8ohm impedance and similar power handling? Or two 4ohm cabs wired in series? Or a high pass filter? *nominal because in practice the impedance is complex and varies with frequency

When you get to #3... it might be worth checking the tweeters individually and then in pairs, in case you've got a phase reverse somewhere - that might account for the apparently low output

If you search for “online tone generator” you should find a free app which will generate pure audio tones via the iPad. You can then use that to put reasonably high level 4 or 5khz tones through your cab, which might give you a more accurate indication of the effect of switching the tweeters on and off?

My limited experience of using a baritone is that chords mostly sound like mud. Bass or lead lines with a plectrum seemed to work well

I’ve used K&M stands for years, well worth the money and you can almost always get spare parts for them.

This amp doesn’t have Speakon outputs so be careful with the amp-to-speaker cables. Like Dad3353 says, if you’re going to do any damage it’s likely to be this end of the system.

I used to build equipment for BBC Outside Broadcast vans and a standard piece of kit to have onboard was an earth spike (just a piece of nice solid copper or steel with a tag to attach an earth cable). You used it if you were (typically) powered from a generator or mains source a long way away and you just knocked it into the ground local to the van and connected it to the mains earth terminal of your electrical distribution - which could just be a simple set of sockets. Easy to do when you had an earth terminal specially provided for this purpose, but not impossible with a standard 13A board. It does need to be a solid piece of mains cable however; 2.5mm minimum, 4mm better. As noted by many others, wireless connections give an element of safety as do RCD's on the power outlets. The problem with a wireless connection is that you might want to adjust a control on your amp/combo and only then would you discover if you and the equipment were both connected to the same earth.

You just use left and right outputs as separate feeds - one for the PA (left), one for monitors (right). The Pan control on each channel acts to control how much of each signal goes to left and right - so a channel panned centre goes to both PA and Monitors, panned full left PA only, panned full right Monitors only...

When you say “monitor mix” do you want to create a separate mix for monitoring, different from the main mix? If so you can do that as long as you don’t mind your main mix being in mono.
