11.
I've replaced quite a few pickups in Precisions with S1 switches. How many wires does your Lindy Fralin have?
Just the two - one white and one black ! Any advice ? Cheers Ade
12. Now call me silly . . . . (YES I'M SILLY ) BUT I took my Fender S1 Precision apart to change the the stock pick-up to a Lindy Fralin and ended up putting it back together as is cos' it looked a right faff to do. Extra wires for the usless S1 and all that gubbins. I suppose the answer is to pop the new pup in 'wire for wire' but has anyone actually performed this operation? What do you do? Cheers for you help Ade

14. Heres my Rick, I'd love a black TRC but I'm not forking out £50 for one ! Well worth putting a Hipshot bridge on though.
15.
When you say fighting.... what you mean exactly? your backline not loud enough compared to the pa?
Best described as pulsating backwards and forwards I'll check the FX too Cheers Ade
16. Right not sure how to describe the problem . . . . I have my bass D.I'd into our PA as well as the rest of the band The problem is when I play it sounds as though my backline is fighting with the PA and I sound a little out of tune too (I'm not i've checked) ! Turning my backline down helps but then I cant hear myself as well. Any ideas? Ta Ade
17. Your not wrong, everyone has been taking the piss over at this thread HAVE A LOOK BUT WEAR A HARD HAT !

How do I get this tone

The Tech 21 VT is superb, the guitarist in my band has one as he plays bass too and I have used and fiddled with his for a whole practice session. VERY versatile plenty of mids to play with. Better than the Sansamp Bass Driver as you tend to get a bit lost in the mix if you not careful. Thats my two penneth = TECH 21 VT Bass
19. You might have to wait a while for for a fish on a bike, selling rocking horse sh*te to offer you a Ric Blackstar ! . . and have deep pockets too ! You'd be better off buying a used Jetglo 4003, a Black scratchplate, add a Hipshot bridge cos' they are fantastic and sending your truss rod cover off to Rickenbacker for an exchange. Then you'd have pretty sexy looking beast for a lot less money and be happy to use and play. . . . now let the Blackstar go . . . . . LET IT GO !
20. I was watching that one on ebay ! (it is the one off Evilbay isnt it?) Fantastic colour, only second to Jetglo
21. Have a look at Hipshot : HIPSHOT WEBSITE I've got one of their Rickenbacker replacements on my Ric and it is superb, well made bags of sustain and infinite adjustement ! Niiice
22. No you cant, there are two speaker outs as most standard amps Now stop asking questions and buy it before I do They sound fantastic and as long as your running 4 ohms its plenty loud enough £300 is a hoofing bargain ( I paid £450 used )
23. Tech 21 all the way ! I bough my Landmark 300 off Cetera as he now uses the 600 version They sound amazing, two switchable channels, light grit and distortion is superb I had tons of comments when I used it There was a chap on here ( Col ) selling a FULL Tech 21 stack for not a lot ! http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...&hl=tech+21 He's in the Watford area so not a million miles from you either Ade
