  1. Buddy Holly - Weezer
  2. I understand from another thread by a fella in Dirty DC an AC/DC tribute band that found one with a EU dealer and the retail over here is around £9,000 !! He said... Very interesed in buying one of the new Cliff Williams signature basses released in November. I inquired with Ernie Ball they said there was only one bass coming to Europe and gave me the name of the dealer in the UK. Contacted them asking for a price and tech spec and after several emails finally got back to me with a price of £9k...WTF.....When I told them I paid £2500 for a genuine 1977 boo series bass exactly the same bass as Cliffs they came back and said OK how about £8500...has anyone anymore info on how this is? Surely at that price they don't expect to sell many!
  3. You could just buy an original 1979 B00 Music Man Stingray for way less which is daft really !!

  11. Love the Billy, played there many times with Boxeddy, Toe's Mavern, Grounded and Nothing Scientific and always had great nights Will miss packing away in the dark while the PA blasts a barrage of metal tunes !!! Fingers crossed it will be back in some form in the future
  12. They do BUT I have three short scales, Musicman Stingray, Fender JMJ Mustang and Warwick Corvette and all three are different, be it the construction or pickups etc that makes them all sound quite different, not lacking anything ... all in a good way I might add
  13. Definitely a Stingray, but passive, pick up switching parallel, series, single coil as well as volume boost. Not as aggressive however it’s basically a Stingray with a smaller body and shorter (nice smelling) neck Bonus ... no battery required!!
  14. Really pleased with mine too, it’s superb quality, I do totally get people held back by the cost, I sold two basses to cover it! The feel, the smell and colour did it for me, can’t resist a sparkly finish !!
  15. The fit, finish and feel is superb with a neck to die for. Roasted maple feels silky smooth, finished to perfection and smells great too if you like BBQ’s !!! Punchy, articulate with a decent range of tones from the passive pickup, still Stingray though! Starry Night finish looks amazing, the hardware is excellent. All round great bass, is it worth 3x a Sterling SS Ray ... I’m not sure Surely there’s a couple of people taken the plunge on one!!?? @TK4261 @4000
  16. Deal with confidence, Jarek is a great guy, quick, regular communication. He bought my Washburn bass, paid promptly by Paypal fiends & Family so no fees, he arranged a courier. All I had to do was pack the bass up in a bomb proof box to ship to Belgium. Five star transaction!
  17. I have an active 2 EQ Warwick Corvette 30" Short Scale, lovely bass, not seen many around
  18. The stigma is well and truly still there with every reviewer using the words, fun, small, diminutive, makes me smile, for guitarists and drummers or little people with small hands .... all that aside, I love short scales, I have three and I have a small hand so I'll fit in just fine lol !!
  19. and now it's re-listed ... itchy chin
