  1. I used a B-301 in the 80's and got another a few years ago, I think they are cool looking , great quality and sounds decent too! Richard Jones from The Feeling uses a B-301 a lot too , prices vary quite a bit if you can find a decent one Here's me looking rather dashing 'with hair and spandex' in the 80's (it was acceptable then apparently...)
  2. All three are superb, I’ve had the Performer as well as a couple of MIJ Mustangs and I currently have a JMJ .... get a used one and you’ll not need to worry about losing money, you can pick up a good Performer or JMJ for around £650 on a good day
  3. Funnily enough yes! One saddle was centred when they all should be left aligned, I contacted Fender UK and was resolved quickly as it a know issue now.
  4. I understand from another thread by a fella in Dirty DC an AC/DC tribute band that found one with a EU dealer and the retail over here is around £9,000 !! He said... Very interesed in buying one of the new Cliff Williams signature basses released in November. I inquired with Ernie Ball they said there was only one bass coming to Europe and gave me the name of the dealer in the UK. Contacted them asking for a price and tech spec and after several emails finally got back to me with a price of £9k...WTF.....When I told them I paid £2500 for a genuine 1977 boo series bass exactly the same bass as Cliffs they came back and said OK how about £8500...has anyone anymore info on how this is? Surely at that price they don't expect to sell many!
  5. You could just buy an original 1979 B00 Music Man Stingray for way less which is daft really !!
  6. Walking on Sunshine - Katrina and the Waves
  7. I've always liked this ...
  8. Genuine Fender Mustang PJ pick guard in 3 ply mint white green taken off an Olympic white Mustang only had light use. £15 delivered
  9. Love the Billy, played there many times with Boxeddy, Toe's Mavern, Grounded and Nothing Scientific and always had great nights Will miss packing away in the dark while the PA blasts a barrage of metal tunes !!! Fingers crossed it will be back in some form in the future
  10. They do BUT I have three short scales, Musicman Stingray, Fender JMJ Mustang and Warwick Corvette and all three are different, be it the construction or pickups etc that makes them all sound quite different, not lacking anything ... all in a good way I might add
  11. Definitely a Stingray, but passive, pick up switching parallel, series, single coil as well as volume boost. Not as aggressive however it’s basically a Stingray with a smaller body and shorter (nice smelling) neck Bonus ... no battery required!!
