Try no to overthink it, some people will like what you do and some probably won't, you can't please everyone. Sounds like you're ready to unleash the band on the public!! Whats the name of your band?

Always take 2 basses I’ll occasionally swap after first set but usually it’s just a spare, then alternate them between shows. Not had a bass fail on me or break a string, just couldn’t take the chance when playing theatres or festivals … I’d be gutted even down the local pub if I didn’t have a back up!!

The Short Scale Bass Appreciation Society!

Hmmm not sure what brand but they are definitely 45-105 Think you have to accept that you’ll lose some definition but with some EQing it can be controlled to a reasonable degree. All you can do is give it a shot and see if you like it ! -

If anyone is pondering fitting a Hipshot Xtender to their JMJ Mustang the BT7 is a direct replacement and the lollipop is easily swapped over too. Took 10 mins and works a treat. They do a lolly version now but it’s shiny It handles the D drop really well, Infact my band tune a half step down and the drop to C# still sounds great and is very stable … -
Gibson already did the look in 2015

Whats the app called, I'm not sure I found that one Cheers Ade

@FrostybassI'd echo whats been said above, a used Sandberg Lionel would be the top of my list, closely followed by a JMJ Mustang and if you like the Stingray sound then a Sterling Stingray SS .... Are you anywhere near Glasgow, then have a try of Merchant City in Glasgow maybe -
TC Electronic - Brittle broken knobs / buttons RH450 / 750
Adee replied to Adee's topic in Amps and Cabs
Exactly the same scenario for me, contacted Ampman and was given a quote for about £60 to get the knobs, sooooooo I politely declined their kind offer The very helpful fella from TC and his colleagues in Denmark even drew a blank which was amazing -
I agree, Lionel’s are excellent, I’ve been lucky to get a JMJ and Lionel used, @Lozz196definitely keep an eye out for one!

Music tribe are a waste of space, I even had contact with a guy at TC who was helpful, sympathetic but still couldn’t help !! -

If you are happy to make to sound again then you will hopefully get a decent refund, you will end up with a great bass for even less! I'd fill the hole with wood and glue, then put a washer on big enough to cover the ding before the strap button using a longer screw -
Loving the videos on FB, if you get near me I’ll be there to see you! your Rick needs to do a custom job in his jacket …

its not that new, thought it was sorry but still wacko with the addition of Drop C tuning

I didn’t know they made JMJ’s in Japan unless it’s a typo? Does sound ace though!! -
Pleased you took the plunge and got a JMJ, I can't see you moving it on anytime soon if ever, they feel like a workhorse just like a Precision. It looks the part too. Not weighed mine but it's not the lightest shorty I have either, if you get the SS bug maybe look at a Lionel at some point, although they are a lot thinner on the ground than the JMJ Mustang .... Have fun and enjoy!

ello Lozz, I also have a Sandberg Lionel aka Larry, (not sure they do a Superlight), it's a superb bass in every way, fit, finish, feel is second to none Punchy and articulate, you really couldn't go wrong. I can check it's weight. As you know I also have a JMJ Mustang which is just great too! @Osirismight want to chip in ...

Sooooo how’s it sound, passive vs active? I’m happy with my passive version but that mod does look easy and very tempting! -

I put a solid jazz pup cover on my Performer and think it blends in and looks a lot better in my opinion…
