  3. I'm breaking down a few project basses, all Fender fit in terms of necks and bodies. No trades thanks, need to pay some building bills!

  5. I'm breaking down a few project basses, all Fender fit in terms of necks and bodies. No trades thanks, need to pay some building bills! This looks messy but is actually rather nice to play, and the previous owner's Typpex dots on fretlines are actually really helpful. It's a defret but decent quality work. Odd grain for sure, but rather nice in the flesh.

  7. Played this bass last night, it's rather nice
  8. Hi, I'm in Canterbury, Kent, I've got three fretless necks for sale which I'll list over the weekend (lots of unfinished projects which have been hanging around for years!) Cheers Chris
  9. I have two jazz basses with Precision necks, both sound and play better than any others I've owned. Big necks make a difference to the sound and playability for me. Fretless below, no pics of the fretted I'm afraid but will take some and post later
  10. Hi all, the bass sold a month or so ago, perhaps a mod could revise?
  11. Offers before I list this on eBay?
  12. Think I'll part out the bass as it's a bitsa anyway and I've got much stuff sitting around as it is! Body £150 (body only, no PUPs/circuit etc which I'll keep) Fender USA lined fretless neck £200 (neck only, no tuners which I'll keep) C
  13. No worries mate, I'm going to split it for parts I think, too many Precisions for sale at present here Neck & tuners £250 Body £150 PUP & Circuit £75 I'll keep the bridge & pickguard
  14. They're not bolts, they're screws (x 4) on most Fenders, screws (x 2) and bolts (x 1) on the Fenders in question?
  15. Hi mate, I’m in Canterbury Kent. Chris
  16. And I only say this because I've been the victim so many times by the way
  17. I rest my case

  19. Absolutely. Everyone raved about the first wave of Fender Fleas, and a pretty high percentage then sold them. Those dopamine pathways in our heads are telling us we're going to feel so much better when was have the new bass, but they stop saying that the moment we get it, which is when the cognitive dissonance starts kicking in! Strikes me that if fender thought an MM PUP in a Jazz Bass body was a good idea they could have done it a long time ago, without waiting for Flea to suggest it.
  20. Does make me laugh, I wonder what Sterling Ball thinks. Flea moves from EBMM to Modulus and gets them to essentially make him a Stingray (well, Cutlass), and them moves to Fender and gets them to essentially make him a Stingray. IME Fender make great basses (all two of them) but often pretty crap active circuits, certainly compared to those that go into Stingrays and Moduli. Interesting to see how this lands.....
  21. Had an offer on the neck so happy to split neck and body. Also have a Warmoth fretted Jazz neck for sale on this bass .... ....that I'd be happy to transplant so to speak
  22. Mystic Red - or 'Místico Rojo' - as per Fender's catalogue, it's actually a lot more vibrant than it looks. Think the white PG works better also?
