    Whoever played bass on Maggie May by Rod Stewart can quite honestly be classed as awful.

    Depends what you really want. If you want a bass that looks like a Musicman Stingray and sounds like one, then I'd go for either a SUB or the Sterling Ray34. I've got the Sterling Ray34 and it sounds just like a US Stingray. If you just like the shape, and want to modify it so as it sounds like something completley different from a Stingray then the Vintage is a really good bet. To be honest, if its the latter you want to do, then you'll probably end up spending around £300 on the whole thing. If its the former, you'll probably spend about £400. Bear in mind, that a Sterling Ray will hold its price better than a modified cheaper bass.

    I saw him years ago in the early 90's and wasn't really impressed by his playing. I loved his recorded stuff but live it just didn't really do much for me at all.

    Thats tragic. A mate of ours died of Motor Neurone disease and personally I cannot think of a more horrible way to go. Poor old Mike, he's a great bass player and the main inspiration for me for picking up a 5 string bass.

    Ashdown MAG410T 4x10 Deep Cab rated at 8ohms similar to this one but carpet covered GOOD CONDITION Gigged once and it sounded great, very punchy and loud. Will sort out a good price if you buy it with one of the heads I'm selling. Cab on its own is 100 smackers... this is collection from London only
